I could be wrong, but I don't think that you do. I think that a mod will make a post into a sticky if they think it makes sense to do so.

mods have to change the settings to make things a sticky. You could PM someone (or modsquad) and they'll do it if the thread contains especially valuable info.

Since the topic has been brought up, I think that the thread about not posting your weight should be a sticky.

some people are comfortable discussing their weight--maybe just put a warning in the tittle? (somethig like "So I went for a check up ::weight trigger::") or something..... :?

Why is a specific weight number that important? Does it matter whether you wiegh X or Y? Could you make your point without bringing up a number? (i.e. "Doctor wants me to lose weight, I'm X pounds!" versus "Doctor wants me to lose weight, I am overweight!" Who really cares how much you actually weigh, KWIM?

If people don't like talking about their weight they shouldnt fdo it. It says nowhere in the rules that you must reply to every post made.

If you don't like talking about things, don't read the posts :) So simple :)

That is hardly the point. I think the post that I was talking about gives a pretty good explanation.
