There's tons of you out there, in Edmonton and Calgary.
I want to meet everyone, plan a weekend sometime in either Calgary or Edmonton, have a huge wild mom an tot sleepover at someones house or something with movies, popcorn, whatever, or plan an outdoor gathering, take our kidlets to the zoo, whatever!

I really want to plan something as well and summer is on the way.
My house is kinda big, not huge but it would work and it's close to a lot of cool stuff. The Fringe is comming up, the spray parks are open, Heritage days are on the way, Street Performers Festival, let's do something girls!!!
One thing I think would be fun is going to hawrelak park with the kidlets :)
i'm game. we have two extra double beds. i live near the zoo, fort edmonton park. and the festivals are always awesome.
weekends are good for me. i work mon-fri most of the time.
The only thing about Hawrelak Park is that you have to bring your own entertainment since there is not an actuall playground or anything. It's great for picnics though and lots of space to run around.
Chocobot and I live really close to each other from what I can tell so if we meet up in Edmonton, either of us could bunk people.

I'll have to talk to hubby, we're saving up for a house so I have to really budget here and plan when we can afford a little extra something, kwim? So I'll look at the budget soon and see when is a time we don't have many extra bills and I can afford to get me and Trey on a greyhound

I'd love to come but the gas prices are insane right now it costs $50 just to get to Calgary alone so im thinking prolly $80 to get to edmonton. But I'd totally love to meet up sometime and naivete I could probably pick you up on the way through Calgary if you wanted to split the gas costs from Calgary to edmonton and back :)
ab, splitting the costs for gas would probably be a lot cheaper (and easier on Trey) then taking a Greyhound both ways, so that's an awesome idea. I could definitely go for that one ! :)
Does anyone have preference for dates? I would like August sometime since my baby is due mid July.
How many kids does each girl have and what are the ages so we can think of appropriate things to do/see?
August sounds good. I have one son, and he will be 9 months in August. He likes anything and is amused by everything, so any activities would be good for him :)
AB-one more thing about gas, I have a tax exempt card for gas at certain places, so while most places are @ 84.9 I still get it for around 67, so if we go to those places to fill up it would save a lot of money :)
Well, I have two kids that are 8 and 5 and very easy to entertain outdoors and I will have newborn also but they are so easy to amuse, it's no worry.
I really love outdoorsy stuff like festivals and spray parks and such. Or, even just hanging out in my backyard or the local park!
August sounds alright. I'm most likely only going to bring Noah with but thats only tentative i may end up with all 3. But thats ok cuz I have a mini van so still plenty of room for Naivete and her lil guy. And thats awesome about the tax exempt card!

Are there any spray parks in Edmonton? I'm thinking that'd be something Trey would LOVE.
There are a few, the Legislature Grounds has tons of water and fountains, and it's FREE!! I like that one a lot and so do my kids. I'd be up for that for sure.

No =\ *sigh* I still want it to happen though! We were talking about second week in August (which is.. well.. pretty quick here) which would work for me as I get paid the 15th. I bumped it up and no one ever got back to it again.
