My story

Well i found out i was pregnant on June 23rd 2005. I knew i was pregnant before the test i just had this feeling this little tightening in my stomach it was so odd. I had taken one test at home and it came back a faint postive so i knew i had to get to my health department for a postive test there.

The wait was only 10mins to get in but it seemed like hours or even days. The lady spoke softly as she said you are pregnant its faint but there your lucky most people dont know this soon(it was almost a week and a half before my missed period) I just thought to myself HA lucky. I looked at my sister and just smiled...the smile was just to calm myself down and not break down in the office. I went straight over to my boyfriends house of 2years. He answered the door and i was like we need to talk, hes like dont tell me your pregnant(jokingly) and i was like WOW your good(sarcastically) i swear the he turned white as a sheet after that. He gotten into my car and we started to drive he asked if i was sure 20times no joke and then yelled YOUR NOT KEEPING IT and i just looked at him and laughed and said yea okay. he continued to yell and he hit me. We were at a stop light and i told him to get the f*** out of the car. Hes like come pick me up in a few minutes and i just looked at him and drove off. I went back home and told my mom she was very supportive. I felt like my life had changed just from that very day. I knew i had to grow up i had to be a woman i was no longer that girl most people knew me as.

Well my boyfriend walked to my house and apologized and he actually acted excited about it he called his cousins and just talked all about it. Little did i know in less then 3months hed be gone.

Well he disappeared for 3wks after the fact. His dad found out i was pregnant and found his a** in the local club. He brought him over to my house and apologized for his son. Gerry was on bended knee in less then 15mins of being at my house. I told him that there was no him and me anymore. We were over. He asked if id think it over and i said know. He stuck around for a couple more months and i havent heard from him since.

Its unbleviable that someone can actually know they have a child out there and want nothing to do with it. But i grew to the woman i am today because of my daughter.

She is the light of my life and always will be. She has saved me from a horrible streak i was going through at the time. Things get extremely hard sometimes, I know have a part-time job and am starting college in the spring but ya know its all worth it to have a better life for her and myself.

I always thought i needed a guy to complete me and now i know that all i need is that beautiful smile she shows me each and everyday. I thank god for the angel he has given to me and pray that i can show as much love and she has given to me.
