Maddie will NOT let me put her anywhere. I can't lay her down, put her in her jumper, her exersaucer, her crib, her playpen... she's only happy if I'm holding her. But my mom left an angry note for me this morning saying that I had better pack (we're moving) and get the entire downstairs clean.
She comes home in a half hour and I got two boxes packed - both while Maddie screamed hysterically. What the fuck am I supposed to do? If I don't pick her up, she starts gagging and coughing, but my mom is going t completely freak out on me.
And I tried several baby carriers - snugli, wraparound, sling and mei tai, but I'm moving and bending too much.

i went throught this with Cheyanne God I hated it. I couldn't get anything done. I just had to let her scream it out. I hated to do this but like you I htings that had to get done. It dosen't last long she will grow out of it. Is their anyhting that is stressful going on right now in your life. Maddie is reacting to it by being clingey if their is anyhting stressful. It passes I promism. Godd luck in moving, where are you moving to?
My daughter's been like that too lately. She just turned 5 months. I just let her cry it out. I know it sounds mean, but it's the only way I can get things done; Cooking, landuary, etc. So she cries for about three minutes, and then I come in and check on her. Give her something to eat, bottle, breast, whatever (= and she falls right asleep. It's kind of like she's just frustrated and she needs to get it out (= Hope this helps!
Mason is doesn't wanna be put down at all anymore either. I'm pretty sure it's just a phase. I will try to get most of the household stuff done when he's sleeping.. but it's hard cause I gotta be super quiet. He's a very light sleeper. I'm moving too, and I've packed about 15 boxes. Sounds like a lot but it really isn't. My in law's are taking the kids for a few days so I can get the majority done this week. It's really hard doing things when there's a kid screaming in the background. I feel ya. I hope your mom went easy on ya. She has to understand the circumstances.
