I'm having this weird crampy feeling in my right side of my abdomen. It comes and goes, and everytime it comes, it's not a gut-wrenching pain, but it's definately pain. Everytime I feel it, which is every 5-10 minutes, it makes me go pee...

What could this be? I'm 12 weeks, btw.

It's hard to say but it could be growing/stretching pains. I felt a lot of those in the first few months. It was like I could feel my uterus expanding. And I still sweaar to this day I felt my hips widen.

Call you OB on call. I hope it's okay.

Ohhh okay. At 12 weeks though? Isn't that kinda early?

The pains feel like...umm...like I'm being "pinched". It's very mild, but it's still pain. Like, it's not a good feeling, but not a totally bad feeling either. Just really annoying.

Yeah I think it probably is growing pains. Your ligaments are making room for the fetus, uterus and etc. before you are actually showing. I remember them but for the life of me I can't remember what I did to make them feel better.

Maybe a warm cloth on the lower tummy? Idk, but I really really appreciate all you girls commenting! I feel better now. Haha.

I'm drinking lots of water, and hoping I can get rid of the feeling. They don't hurt where it's so painful I gotta cry, but when I slouch in this computer chair, they come and go, and they make me need to pee when they "pinch".

yeah, i had them VERY early on, like before 6 weeks even. i waitressed throughout my entire pregnancy (to 8 months) and i would have them while i was running around the restaraunt. i wanted to use those thermal heating pads that stick to your body (they are marketed for menstrual cramps) but i don't think the heat is safe in pregnancy. try physical activity and stretching yourself, like gentle yoga.

It could be a UTI. Those are really common in pregnancy, even if you didn't really get them before, but with the having to pee thing, I'd get it checked out. I'd say it warrents a call to your doc, just to make sure it's not a UTI. You can have them even if you don't feel sick, they do check for them at every prenatal check up, thats why you always have to pee in a cup.

I've got a p-n appointment for next week sometime. I will ask about it then. Thank you very much! :)

usually if it somthing to worry about you'll know for sure no question about it. When I was having my misscarriage I had cramps I was in tears cuz it hurt so much but I knew exactly what was going on. But the stretching for me felt like little pinches at times i dont think theres a worry

I also had those pains and mine started at just about 11 weeks i believe. i agree with the other girls that it is just growing pains. Your skin and everything stretching and gettin ready for the lil one growing in ur tummy!! But just to make sure i would call the your ob!

Ahh, thanks a lot girls. I was also worried I was showing symptoms of a miscarriage, but gladly, the weird pains went away 2 days ago. My tummy feels a bit tight on the abdomen now, especially after those pains...

Uteros? It wasn't a UTI. I didn't have pain, or burning while peeing, and my pee wasn't a different color, or had a particular smell to it.

The pains are gone now. They really freaked me out though, lol, because they lasted for 4 hours.

I'm assuming uteros = uterus. I'm glad you're feeling better now. If you're worried at all, definitely mention it to your doctor or midwife the next time you go in for a check-up.

Ahh, yes. I wrote it down on a sticky to bring with me next week. :)

If it's the uterus pains, do they always come and go, or is it just a one time thing?
