Welcome to GM, my son's b-day is on Oct. 15 !
I'm Maydelin, 19 yr old mama to Joshua who's 17 months.
That's weird. October 15th is my younger sisters bday, I have a feeling she won't be too happy when she finds out I'm pregnant lol.
Were you still in school when you found out you were pregnant? B/c I'm still not sure how to do the whole "in-school and pregnant" thing. Like, if I'm supposed to tell the teachers and my nurse or anything. Any advice?
I'll probably do that. I'm not so worried about my due-date b/c I'm graduating in June and I'll only be like 5 months along. I have to call the college I'm supposed to start in the fall to ask to start next year though. That's like the saddest part of this, I was so excited for college :( . But thanks for the advice, I'll definitely talk to my counselor at school next week.
Hey, welcome to girlmom and Congratulations! Be sure to browse our announcement forums, and read all the stickies so that you can get a good idea of what we're all about.
And you CAN still start college if you want to!! Maybe you could wait and see how you're feeling/doing, and then decide whether or not you want to defer a year? It's SO possible to do school w/a baby, it just depends on what you want to do.
hey, welcome to gm :D im michelle, 18 and mamma to a one-year old its a really great site, so informative and supportive so enjoy!

welcome, my name is lauren im a twenty one year old mom to emily grace who is three.
telling your parents was the scariest part for me. after it was done though i felt soooo much better.
you can do this :) and congratulations.
Hey, I had my son while I was in high school, but I had him in the summer so by the end of the year my teachers, etc could tell. I told the nurse and a few of my teachers and let the rest find out on their own. Also, about going to college I know a lot of people who get pregnant and have a baby during the semester and they take online courses, and maybe one in class course. The professors are usually understanding and you can usually take a small baby to class unless its a science lab class or something. You should look into that if you still want to go to college, because some places won't hold off your admission. But anyway, I'm Skylar and I have a son Eric who is 2, will be 3 in August. Nice to meet you!
welcome to gm
hey hon, my names amanda, i just found out i was pregnant a few days ago, i'm in college already. if your family is willing to support you, you could night classes sometimes like i already do being a normal student or you could wait to start your spring semester after the new year, most colleges will let you do that. hope this helps a little. good luck. i haven't told my parents yet either. lots of people have given me the advice to make sure i know my plan when i tell them, supposedly that makes things run smoother. feel free to pm me anytime. :)
welcome to girlmom!
i was in college when i found out was pregnant, and now i still am. i only took off a semester, but that was due to complications with my pregnancy. i'm currently taking online courses and will resume in class courses in the summer! so you can definitely do it. there is a lot of assistance out there for mama students!
