can we get automatic thing to let you in the special rooms? ie looking spot...
other sites have them, you set the boundary s for entrance ie like we already have 50-75 posts and 2 months. and as soon as you get there u automatically get let in ..
no waiting period and less work for mods
Back room is a consensus decision, so no, it can't be an automatic thing.

you said rooms... and you've already explained that you are waiting for the BR. I don't thing anyone has ever waited more than a day to get into the looking spot.

i mentioned this cuz my other 2 posting sites like this one has the automatic thing
one is to post pics. as soon as you get 300 posts, it lets u post pics before that u can only look at others.
the other has a special time limit on it. if u stay on site for 3 months it lets u read the exclusive post and at 6 months you are allowed to post there
You automatically have to wait 2 months to get into the looking spot. Waiting a whole day after you apply isn't going to kill you.

And like adcaela said, all the mods decide on whether or not a person gets to have access to the back room, and we are all busy being moms too or whatever everyday so we aren't always online at the same time. Sometimes you just have to wait a little, and it's not that big of a deal.
No I don't think it shoudl be an automatic reponse, e want to make sure the people we add into rooms are legitimate people, we've had trolls n the pst who have gotten into rooms, so we are taking safety precautions. For EVERYONE'S safety.
and also we do discuss things like the looking spot and swap and give... when someone feels uncomfortable with a member having access to ANY private forum (swap and give, the looking spot or the BR). i, for one, would be really uncomfortable with someone just making a certain number of posts and then being able to get into the private forums. i think it is important for the safety of members (especially since there is private information posted back there) that it is discussed before they are approved.
right, some people who reach 75 or whatever posts are still not trustworthy enough for the private forums. It is a good idea, but unfortunately we can't trust everyone on the internet.

i told you I thought it was a good idea. It just wouldn't work for this site. We appreciate ideas on how to improve the site, but not all of them are feasible.
Exactly, it's not a bad idea - but it's nice to be able to make sure we trust everyone for the sake of the site and our members - safety and all. Especially for the backroom.
We aren't trying to personally attack you, it's good to have a mature discussion.
