I think it'll be beneficial, not just as a relationship point of view, but for you & him personally. I think just being completely honest with yourself, him and the counselor is the best. It's hard to find out where to start from ... when I went into counseling by myself (mostly b/c of BD), I started from the beginning ... where the problems began.
good luck. i used to go to couples counseling back when BD and i are a couple, and it really helped both of us put things in a different perspective outside of our own.
I think couples counselling is a good thing. It really helps to have a third party, deceipher the problems. I hope that you have an effective, efficiant counsellor.
they cancelled our appointment without telling us. so it didnt happen. and we have been fighting uncontrollably since then... i fucking hate everything and want to crawl into a hole

ya we just showed up for our appointment and they said they cancelled and switched us to a different councellor. they didnt leave a message. they called back yesterday and left a message forme to contact someone. but im starting to seriously doubt my decision about counseling with BD... he is really self involved and i dont think he wants to hear anything i have to say anyways... i might just call back and get personal counseling to just for my own support instead of trying to go through these seemingly meaningless and extremely painful motions of trying to "work it out" with this insensitive and self absorbed heartache of a boy.

I'm not going to go with BD. and its been so long since i decided to go. like since january... i dont know what to talk about. she said we will talk about "my goals" and i told her that i just want to come alone and not with Josh. what are my goals... errm.

i went to counseling my senior year ( before navy ) to work on things within myself. It was really about me and jeremy. and why i felt to attached to him. And it really helped ME. But it doesn't so much good in a relationship if the partner isn't willing to work on themselves, or the relationship. I tired really hard for a really long time, and it got me no where. Things are okay now, now that i just suck it up and let him do what he wants and whatnot. We are really just like room mates. that have sex. :roll: I wish you the best of luck. I really hope you find happiness within yourself. :D
Mommkatlin, thanks that it very sweet to say. Alot of the time i do want a girlfriend. When things with me and BD get bad i find myself going on dates with women (nothing serious) and feeling like i could be so much happier..I wish i be surrounded in you girls. you should all move to canada.
I had to reschedule my appointment again because i had this huge problem with week with being sick. i thought i had a collapsed lung and couldnt breathe it was really scary - im on meds now and feel much better but im still waiting for my intake appointment.!! its on may 15. after all this crap i'm gonig to need it more than ever.

The counselling may work with the BD. He has to be willing to allow it too, though. T
