I have to disagree about removing Stories. I post there quite a bit, and it's one of the first forums I visit. It gives me a place to talk about issues I'm facing personally, and that don't have to do with my relationship or my family. We're more than just a culmination of other people, and I think Stories helps remind us of that.

I agree.. Stories should stay.
I SO agree with this. How many forums do we really need to change anyway? There are 2 new forums, and one of them was wrapped into tech. So there's only 1 more forum than there was before - I don't think we really need to revamp the whole site, you know? Your Stories, imo, is one of the most important forums here, and I'd be really, really sad if we decided to do away with it.
Wielding Words & Book Club used to be seperate ... as did, Local Resources and Organize ...
and yep, I remember when "Relationships" was added ... I think that should be seperate as well.
Your Stories is great alone because it kind of is just us as us section, like not necessarily tied to being a mama or asking about pregnancy ... I like having that alone.
We added "Relationships" b/c we decided that we wanted a place to be able to talk about relationships with significant others without making women without significant others feel like crap about it.
There were a bunch of mamas getting married, and entering into exciting relationships, and they wanted a place to be able to talk about that, as well as the difficulties of creating healthy relationships. I don't think this should be meshed with something else.
i really think that all of the forums serve their own unique purposes because no one is really ever concerned about how to categorize thier posts. they are usually successful in finidng the appropriate one - which is why they were all individually created right? - and nearly all of them are used daily.
tech, play and have fun and weilding words i find are used the least - but that makes sense. and i have to agree with the "our space" being an excellent addition and taking in tech to it makes perfect sense.

I agree with what Hilary is saying.

IMO Our Spce + Tech could combine and PLay and Have Fun + Weilding Words could fuse, but Dom. should stay out of those two.
