The Girlmom community is organizing to present a workshop at the US Social Forum along with SisterSong about reproductive health justice for young parents.
The US Social Forum (USSF) held in Atlanta Georgia from June 27 - July 1, 2007 is more than a conference, more than a networking bonanza, more than a reaction to war and repression. The USSF will provide space to build relationships, learn from each other's experiences, share our analysis of the problems our communities face, and bring renewed insight and inspiration. It will help develop leadership and develop consciousness, vision, and strategy needed to realize another world.

I just finished reading it. That sounds really exciting - any idea where it will be next year? I definitely want to go in the future, and since this is potentially my last summer of taking classes next year should be doable.
I really want to go, but we dont have the money to travel to it. Maybe next year we will be better off... Hopefully.
I'll be everyone updated on next year's. I think it's going to be in Minneapolis, but I am not sure.
i think that regional areas are deciding to do regional things. the midwest one will prolly be in minneapolis because the republican national convention is going to be here next summer. but check into where your region is.
do you all think we should formally hook up with the sister song organization/network??
