I am an unexperienced mover! I have only moved once as an adult, and my dad rented the truck and it was local and I didn't do much! All of my belongings also fit into my old room. Now, I have lived in this apartment for about 3 years and I have accumulated a LOT more things. We have a real couch, a kitchen table, 2 big beds, 4 dressers, three TV's, two entertainment center things, um, 3 sitting chairs, etc etc etc. It's a lot of stuff for me compared to how bare my apartment used to be!
I am not willing to sell all of my stuff and start over. Though that would easier and cheaper in the short term. I have been either given what I have, or got it from IKEA, or saved my pennies for it, and I like what I have. I plan on getting a 16 foot truck (I hope everything fits!) and right now I found one from Penske for $831, last month it was $870. We were considering towing my car, BUT we would have to 1) get a bigger truck that would be $1,227 AND 2) rent a car carrier which is $200-$275 because the smaller truck can't do it, and it only fits two.
I don't know what I was asking there, um tips maybe? Oh, and do you think the truck rental prices will go down since they already did since last month? I'm worried about putting it on my CC too early, or the price going up.
Boxes: I aksed one of my managers if I could take some boxes from work but he said he would really reccomend I just buy them since the warehouses that boxes are stored in tend to be dirty and a lot of bugs and roaches crawl around boxes and lay eggs in the cracks of them. EW. I think I should probably just buy boxes, but I dont know how many to get or where they would be cheapest.
