Hello all! I've had an account here before, but I can't log on for some reason. I've mostly lurked throughout the years, though.
I'm a soon to be 23 year old mama to a 4 year old boy. I live in the TN (although I'm not from here) with my parents.
I'm a senior in college and I'm a sociology major (women's studies and social welfare are my minors). I plan on teaching a few years while I start my MSW. Eventually, I would like to work in women's initiatives, hopefully in a holistic service organization that provides services for underpriviliged families socially, economically, healthwise, etc.
I'm not with BD, but he pays child support and had my son on the weekends. We don't hate each other, but we don't speak unless it's about our son. I can't really complain, though. His family has always been super nice to my son and me.
Hmmm...what else?
My son is a cool kid. He goes to Head Start. He likes cars and Spiderman. He has/had developmental delays (incl. a speech delay), but he's seems to be growing out of them. I think he's just one of those kids that take a while to catch on. My brother was like that, and he's one of the smartest people I know.
I just go to school, work, and take care of my son. I'm quitting my job this fall, though, to focus on school. Thankfully, I'll be okay monetarily due to loans and child support.
I think that's pretty much it. :D

I meant to say, "I live in TN," not "I live in THE TN."
Hi! I'm Tessa 19 y/o mama to Ian 4 and Aidan 11 1/2 months. Ian loves cars and spiderman also! Make sure to read all the stickies and announcements in all the forums and the mission statement to see what we're all about. Hope you like it here!
Welcome!
My name is Kelly. 21 yr old mama to 2 amazing fun boys. Andrew will be 3 and anthony is almost 3 months!
Hey Im Lexi, 17 year old mommy to 6 month old Kaden.
Wow, congrats on being so close to finishing college, sounds like a great major. Welcome back!
Thanks everyone!
I was on here when Julie and Allison (rip) were still here. I was pregnant with me son when I first joined and this site made me feel so much better about myself.
Thanks, again!
Anab, it sounds great all the things you are doing. I plan to get a masters but I'll have to hold on off on teaching as much as I can. There would be no way for me to balance all that, but you go girl! Don't feel all that bad about quitting you job for school. I had to do it when it was almost to late. I stressed about all the work and school all semester, and I wasn't doing well in either responsibility. It was just easier to give up the job for school, and my boss understood that. I felt a lot better and focused for sure. :) I was a lurker too :D I have a three year old crazy about Spiderman, even though he has yet to sit through a whole a movie without dozing off, lol.
Thanks, vanalla!
:D
Welcome back!
