So school is going quit fabulous for me and although I am a bit older than everyone, I feel like I've finally chosen something that I can see myself doing for a long time. Lyric is doing great in school, has words of the week, library time and is attending an after-school program through the YMCA. Tomorrow night I have conferences with her teacher.
I got a work study job on campus at the Dept of Technology and my boss there told me I could work through Holiday vacation, so I am pretty excited about that, since I will probably stay in GF.
I also met a really awesome guy and just taking things slow, we'll see what happens :)

I am doing really well. School is one stress after another so I take every down second I can. Cae is still at the same daycare and will move up to the big kid class soon. My divorce is oh so close to being done and bd will soon have to pay child support after a two year break from financial responsibilities. I've been dating the same boy all summer. He lives in New York but just left today after a month long visit. We are pretty sure he is going to move here and try and find a teaching/teaching assistant job here. It's weird and nice to have someone in our life after just being me and Cae for so long.
Cae's been struggling with sleeping in his own bed and has lately preferred my bed or the couch. Hopefully he'll want to sleep more when my mom brings up my little brother's hand-me-down fire truck bunk bed.
Texas is bloody hot. I can't wait for the weather to cool so I will be more inclined to ride my bike (the extra 60 lbs of Cae and seat is no easy feat)

i've been good enjoying the new baby. i am stressing over weather to go back to work next month i dont think i can stay home any longer. gabriel is good he is talking so much more, we were worried he had a speech problem but one day he just started talking so much more and now wont be quiet lol. he cant wait to go to school and everytime a school bus passes he is like i want to go on that and go to school to read books lol. other than that im just hanging in there...my life is pretty boring at the moment.
I'm taking a break on school this semester. I plan on going back next semester. We're were hoping I wouldn't have to work til I was done with school but we just can't afford only one income right now. The boys are both good. Ian is going to Head Start and absolutely loves it. He's picking up his numbers and abc's like no other! Aidan is doing really good too! He's still not walking but he can take a few steps on his own. He can say quite a few words tho for only being 13 months! Oh and I just found out today that I probably have rheumatoid arthritis. My test came back positive. We're just waiting for some more tests. I also have my 4th serious sinius infections and if I don't respond to the antibiotics I have to have surgery to have my sinius' drained! :shock: :? *sigh* Well that's about it here for me.

I'm in the Social Work program at school. Lydia is going to a waldorf daycare and loves it so much. Its cold here and we have been sick FOREVER. i have pnemonia and lydia has a double ear infection it sucks so bad. She also is developing asthma and is already on a puffer.
BD is back in my life... we have tried to "make up" ie forgive eachother for years of shitty treatment... and actually be involved in eachothers lives (and lydia's) he apparently applied to the regular forces and intends on joining the army - even though he realizes that i want nothing to do with that. which kind of sucks. its his dream. *cringe*
Right now I'm consumed with disinfecting my house and trying to improve the air quality for me and lydia. did i mention i QUIT smoking? woot! ok well i have had a total of 4 cigarettes since september 7.. which is good for me. cause i used to smoke like maybe half a pack a day.

Kaden started daycare on Monday (instead of staying with my grandma) while Im at school. He is doing great he loves all the kids there. But he has managed to catch a cold and pass it on to the entire family I swear. I have had it for awhile now, and it sucks!! I only have 6 credits to get till I can graduate though! So I am working my ass off to get it done. At the rate Im going I really think I will graduate before January. Which would be good. Me and BD are planning on getting married. We are not sure when yet, but we are thinking April as of right now. The weather sucks here Its raining one day and like 80 the next. Its like 40 in the morning sometimes and then like 70 later in the day. But I guess thats Iowa for you. Its just a little hard to dress a baby when you dont know what the weather will be like that day. (of course I could watch the news I guess LoL) Well that's it for me.

So much has been going on!
My partner, Jack, had some major surgery that we've been waiting for him to be able to have for a long time. He's in bed, recovering, for essentially a month now, so that is difficult but we are so glad that it has finally happened and he is fully recovering. We are amazingly lucky because his job hadn't kept track of how much paid time off he had accrued, so he got the full month as PTO.
Zoe started school. It was horrible. Her teacher was condescending to me and Jack, and Zoe was really unhappy. So, we got her into the Friends School which is a Quaker school. I'm really excited about it, except that it's in St. Paul and doesn't have bussing. So, I'm really worried about how we are going to get her to and from school.
My job is going ok. I kind of want to quit because I really want to go back to school, and for some reason, I feel intimidated by it. I think that I need to get my meds rechecked.
The weather is cooling down, and it's wonderful. I love fall, and I'm looking forward to a great winter!
Well, I survived my first month of school. I've really struggled, though, and am currently thinking about taking a break next semester. My daughter has not adjusted to childcare at all, though partially unstable childcare has contributed to this maladjustment. My partner started a new job at a trade union job, hoping to get into an apprentice program. He also just received a grant for a job training program in case that doesn't turn out how we hope. We're starting to look at housing in the city - as in, finally moving out of my parents' home.
T can crawl. She gets into a lot of trouble now. Still, I still am so in love with her and simply amazed as I watch her unfold.
School is stressing me out a bit. Well, actually, just Biology, because i don't understand a word that man says. I don't know why, i just don't get it. I feel like I'm in a class full of ailiens when he asks, "does everyone understand?" and everyone so confidently says, "oh yes. uh huh! yes!!" and I'm in the corner like, "NO!!!" lol. Work is still slow. I only work 6 hour days now, and i feel like my hours might be cut back even more. I tried applying for Medical again today, because I need to get to a gyno, and i thought that with my hours cut back even more, i might qualify again. Unfortunately, i didn't. Alexa is HUGE and beautiful. I just can't believe it. She talks so much and is so independent. AND, the guy that i was so madly falling in love with, finally asked me out. So, i guess i now have a boyfriend. weird! but i'm happy!

I quit my job in August. I'm still in school and I'm pretty sure I'm set to graduate in December 2008. Yea!
I'm still battling my procrastination issues, but I'm doing okay. I'm writing a paper with one of my professors and I'll be presenting it next month. Hopefully, we can publish it, too.
DJ is still doing wonderfully. He has a girlfriend in his class. He talks about her constantly, even when he's lying in bed by himself before he falls asleep. It's cute.
My car is a piece of crap. I just got a new battery, but I need a new starter and new brakes still. Hey, but it works. So, what am I complaining about?

school has been ok, it had been chalellenging in that i have had a lot of tests and gotten c's on most of them. i also have to give a lot of speeches for some reason and i get really nervous :oops: i am hoping i do well bc if not i will lose my financial aid and owe money like almost 2000. so im really trying to pass every class.
work is going well, but i am seriously gettting screwed i think, i have been the lucky one chosen to work til midnight on weekends, which means no going out EVER cuz i have school n no sitter on weeknights.
steve and i are the same, still together although we dont spend that much time together, we are both busy i guess, our apartment is ok, it seems like it gets messy the 2nd im done cleaning, we need to get the heat hooked up here bc its freezing!!!!!!!!!! :(
also i have been accepting more and more my attractions to women and accepting my sexuality and steve knows that i am attacted to women and luckily he has been nice enough to let me figure it out without us breaking up. although i havent been sexual with a women yet, so im not sure if he would want us to break up for that but ideally i would like to experiement more and make sure its for me before ending a 4 year relationship, it would be nice if i could have a gf and steve, theres a girl i am talking to now and she knows i have a bf but so far we are just friends... i have a huge crush on her and im hoping for it to become more!!
well... school is rough, i just did a midterm.. got 63%.. i am not impressed. it is a pass, but i want something in the 80s! i am disappointed tho... kids are great.. i might be working 2 part time jobs... i need the $$.. for some reason i blew through alot of money in a month... i guess it was because i never have any and when i got my student loan.. i went too happy with it .. so now i NEED to work... but i think between now and dec. its gonna suck :(
I'm just chillin' out. Working everyday and trying to secure a good position for myself. Not much to report here though.

I apologize in advance for not being around as much guys......I have had alot going on in october with j and me. I got a b on my spanish exam and a b on my ethics exam. Me and J moved into our own apt with my boyfriend who is just fabulous. he picks j up from school at night 4 nights a week because I got a new job. I got hired in the top 10% of people who applied for capital one. I am making close to 14 dollars an hour which is a huge step up from the 10 I usually make. For once in my life im not super depressed and am happy. And the most important of all I finally am enjoying my son. were starting to connect again after so much time of being lost from each other. I have 3 more classes till i get my degree and i applied pre med.

OK, after a VERY long break because of the foster kid situation, I'm back and happy to report the progress:
My niece and nephew, who have been living with me since April are finally going back home in 2 or 3 weeks, fingers crossed! We have a court date on Thursday, so I'll find the exact date then. It's been long and hard, but it's finally coming to an end.
Me and my boyfriend bought a house in August. We haven't been able to move in yet fully. Once the kids go back home we will.
Paige is 4 now. She's so smart and self-assured. It's awesome. She should be starting pre-school after the holidays.
Lexi is almost 15 months, she's walking now, and is about to start talking any day now.
My boyfriend is awesome. He decidedthat he wants to be Lexi's dad, and about 2 weeks later Paige asked him to be her dad too! That was awesome to say the least. I'm also thinking there might be a ring sometime soon! Things are going great here, I hope they are for all of you too!
I went away to college, missed home too much and left after a month. Now I'm just working and trying to save up money to move out by the end of the year hopefully. My boyfriend and I decided we're going to get a place together, and we're TTC so hopefully I won't be a KA for too much longer!
October has been busy so far.... I can't wait for Halloween, Ais and I are doing 'Trick or Eating.'

We went to NS at the end of September, we were there for 3 weeks. On October 6th, Neil and I got married at my Mom's place. It was simple, but amazing. We came home, I wrapped up the last week of my Med Term course, and started into A&P I for Midwives. So far all of my pre-reqs for the Midwifery program are going well... I'm looking forward to a break in the list of science courses though....
I'm starting a doula program at the end of the month. SUPER excited about that... I have a pregnant friend who is going to let me attend her birth.... my first birth ever as a doula! YAY!
Neil and I are working at TTC#2. We have a 4 year plan that we updated after the wedding. Originally we wanted to wait until Aislynn was closer to three.... but it will be easier for me to have a baby sooner, so that I can have a two year old (or so) before I have to start any serious clinical work. We have tried 3 times so far... :oops: But now I'm thinking I might want to wait till January... just so I'm not REALLY hot next summer.... I remember hating that one the first time around.

Im hanging in there.. Te and Avi are doing well and getting so big on me. Avi is crawling and pulling herself up and has become brother's little shadow.. they are now partner's in crime :lol: Te still isnt talking but has ben vocalising and making more sounds lately. Cassidy has had her share of ups and downs.. some days she is great, and then she has really bad days.. its rough at times but Im holding up ok. Her mom should be back in mid December and Im looking forward to that. We are also TTC #3.. Im hoping this month is my month.. My period is due Nov 1st so Im crossing my fingers.. I really was hoping for Avi and #3 to be not more than 18 months apart.. if I conceive this month that would put at July 7th for an edd.. which would :lol: be 19 mo apart but Im figuring #3 will be at least 5-6 weeks ealy like my other 2 so thatd be about 18 months apart. Thats pretty much it for me.. I lead a relatively boring life :roll:
I havent been around lately. Honestly with me being the nursing program i havent had time to wash my hair more than 4 times a week.
So here is my update. I have 4 more weeks to go untill the end of the quarter. Then im off for the month of december. After that its only 20 weeks untill i graduate!!! Other than school my life is still a wreck but i keep on keep'n on. I do miss girlmom alot. Ill try to get on more.
Oh and i registered to vote. This will be my first time ever voting, im super excited!
