So I told you guys that I was looking for a job. Well I found one, Dickeys bbq pit. and I took it because we have been desperate for money. well a few weeks later, yesterday, Walmart calls me and I get interviewed for a deli job. well I got it. I feel horrible about quitting the other job so soon, but I don't like it and Walmart is going to be paying me .75 cents more an hour. Its just been really getting to me and now I don't even want to walk into the restraunt. Did I mention that I have a problem with confrontation to the point that its almost crippling. I have to force myself to confront anyone, even when I'm in the right. I'm not really sure what I'm afraid they are going to do, but I have chicken out several times already. What should I do?

I know it can be really hard (I had confrontations too!), but keep in mind that businesses expect people to come and go. It's part of how they operate. They're not going to be mad at you. They're not going to think you're wrong for moving to a job that pays you better. I'll bet you that the person you give your notice to would do the exact same thing in your position. Don't think of it as a confrontation! As long as you are forthright and give reasonable notice, there is no way they could find fault with your decision. ESPECIALLY since they're paying you so little. You don't owe them anything beyond common curtesy, Mama! You should absolutely not feel bad about moving on.
Also, a little off topic, but where are you in your education right now? Are you still in school? Do you have future school plans? Because I would advise that a marketable degree, even if you have to live off loans for a few years, is sooooooooooo worth it in the long run.
i am about to start my second year in college. i have been working 30-35 hours a week and going to school full time.
Awesome! I worked through college too. Do you know your major yet?
