Yeah, we're poor and ramen (or as I call it, simen,) is cheap. Usually 10/$1 here. But there's only so often you can eat the same thing without getting sick of it. So what do you do to make it more original?
Take a skillet, and mix your flavor package with half a cup of water. Add the noodles. Turn it on medium heat, and just watch it. The noodles will start to absorb all the water. Keep adding water until the noodles are fully cooked, but the object is to NOT have broth. Add green onions and scrambled eggs. Mmmm.
Also, try adding just a little bit of peanut butter, whether you make it with the broth, or without. It sounds gross, but it gives it more of a thai flavor. Obviously, this is not going to work with all flavors of simen.
