I was just wondering what are the requirements to get WIC and where do I go to find out about that? I know that with this new pregnancy, Im going to need some sort of help. Thanks!
YEah - -WIC is through the county health department but there is also a 1-800 number you can get online. I had it and just threw it out yesterday! If you call the toll free number they connect you with the office in your county.
I just got ssigned up and used my first checks the other day. The first appointment takes like 2 hours though but I guess its worth it.
i know once you make the appt, (theyll probably tell you) but around here, they want proof of income, and proof of your pregnancy (they should give you a form to take to your DR) i think the 1800 number is
I just got a note from my doc stating my EDD thats all you should need, oh it also needs to say how many babies are comming. Mine said 2. The nurse wrote it and must have had me confused with someone else. lol
income is one requirement
a defincency in your diet is another requirement
They had me make out a list of the foods I had the day before and there must be some lacking either veggie dairy or whatnot

that sounds pretty unusual. here they give it to any pregnant woman (as long as she fits the income guidelines).
try calling the county office, thats where i called for daycare assistance. or maybe u could ask your high school counselor.

Here you can get it without a deficiency in your diet.
