on Dec 20 at 7:56am Peyton Noelle was born. she weighed 7lbs 9oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. we just got home and things are pretty good. we are having some trouble with breastfeeding but so far its okay.
What kind of breastfeeding problems are you having? Someone here might have some advice. Better yet, see if you can get in touch with a lactation consultant through the hospital, or the local La Leche League people--they may be able to help.
Congrats!!!!!1 D Emma Lynn was born this december 20th too! lol a good day! about the breastfeeding, what is going on there. I have the name of a website somewhere about that, I will try and find it for you, Emma wouldn't really for the day or two but now she is quite a drinker! ) I will look for the name of that site and congrats again!
we are having latch problems. and the fact that it took some time to get my milk in really didnt help. i have talked with some people at the hospital and they have been trying to help me but its getting really frustrating for the both of us. sometimes she gets on really good and other times she doesnt at all.
Hey, congratulated you on LJ but heres more for good measure!
Well done on birthing your little girl. Welcome Peyton!
Welcome A to the adventures of being a big sister (she'll do great) and health, warmth & happieness to the 4 of you.
Hope you get some good help with the latch issues. I wondering if she might have a stuffy nose? That can affect latch. Good luck with it all and hope you get all the help you need.
I had a bit of problems with latching when Trey was born, and the hospital lactation consultant suggested the use of a nipple shield. It sticks on to your nipple and the babe latches on that, and it draws your nipple out into the correct shape, and then you just make a quick switch. It really helped with my own problems with latching, if things get too frustrating it might be worth a try. Good luck!
congratulations to all of you! i bet you are so thrilled, i know you were tired of being pregnant.
what's going on with the breastfeeding? hopefully someone here can help.
congratulations again, and welcome to peyton!
