if you want to breastfeed, then by all means, go for it! being fifteen doesn't mean a woman can't breastfeed, i've known lots of mothers that age and younger who successfully nursed their babies.
check out all the good threads in this forum for more info and facts about breastfeeding. :)
Just very curious-But have you discussed with your parents or legal gaurdian about your wanting to conceive? Just wondering cause if your living with them, they might want to know since they will be the ones supporting the two of you.
no matter what your age, breastfeeding is a normal possitive thing after having a baby.
if you can, you should definatly breastfeed your baby if you want to, 15 or not!
You can breastfeed! Breastfeeding is a great start for your baby and very good for you too! Just keep up your good prenatal nutrition after baby comes and you're set. Breastfeeding is also a great way to bond with your child and many mamas find it's very empowering for them. Have fun researching everything, there are great resources for you.
breastfeeding can be done at pretty much any age that u can get pregnant... it is kinda a package deal!! i think breastfeeding is great and if i would have raised my son that is what we would be trying to do... but breastfeeding isn't the only thing that makes u a good mom!!
Well, way back when 15 was kinda old to be having your first baby, almost every mom breastfed her baby, cuz there wasn't really any other option. I'd say that you can do it, but try to deliver at a hospital that has a LC (Lactation Consultant) on staff to help you those first few days, and answer any questions you may have. Also, check out your WIC program. A lot of WIC programs have breastpumps that you can borrow for pumping while you are at work or school. Not all do, but some do, and buying a breastpump/renting one from the hospital can be very expensive.
Of course you can breastfeed and I hope you do! I'm currently nursing my 13 month old daughter and although there have been bumps in the road, it's been a wonderful experience for both of us.
I was a little older than you when I had my daugher.I was 16 when I got pregnant and 17 when I had her and I breastfed her!! Go for it girlie, whenever the time comes!
Yes, yes, yes!! I had my first child when I was 15 and I nursed her from the start. It was great! I think it's especially important for young moms to bf for so many reasons. I think that younger moms often have a harder time finding a "connection" to this little person who just came into their lives and bfing can help that. It's also free and convenient! I've also read that bfing can help reduce PPD.

you can definitely breastfeed. a good book to check out would be the womanly art of breastfeeding from LLL.
I had my first daughter at 15 years old and I breastfed her without problems. It's a great option.
