Is anyone here familar with emulators and roms? Doesn anyone here play them? Just curious because it would be cool if someone else on here played too. :D
What kind of emulator do you have? My brother got me a NES emulator and showed me how to get roms. I play those game all time! The games bring back alot of memeries. :D
I have all kinds of roms. I've deleted lots of my emulators, but I've had them for NES, SNES, GB Advance, N64, NEOGEO, Playstation, and MAME.
I still have a lot of the SNES roms. :)
How many emulators did you have? I only have 1 NES emulator. I only have NES roms. What does MAME stand for? I haven't been able to find a good emulator for any other platforms (N64, Playstation, etc). Do you remember where you got yours?

Emulators are programs that emulate gaming systems and allow you to play on your computer.
Roms are the game files.
I would post a link, but since roms are kind of a touchy subject, like mp3's and downloading movies from bit torrent, I wouldn't want to get the board in trouble.

Sure I'll tell you. An emulator is a downloadable game system. You can download NES, SNES, Playstation, Gameboy Advance and others. Roms are like the games that go with the emulator. Mario Brothers 3, Pac-Man, Megaman 5, Nintendo World, Cup are just a few of the many NES roms you can play. If you would like an emulator and rom yourself just ask. I'll try and find one for you. :D

I have the funnest RPG for it called 'Earthbound' Great for time suckage.
It's a Mac ROM, i don't know if there's a difference, i don't think there is...
Oooh! I have Super Mario Bros 1,2,3 and Super Mario World roms and my son likes to grab the controller and try to play although he doesn't really get what he's supposed to be doing. :D I love the Mario Bros games.

I LOVE emulators and roms! I could play my NES ones all day! NES is my favorite! Amile plays the Sesame Street games and tries to play Mario.
