Does anyone know who Bev Bos is ? I saw some video of hers in my creative arts class and I am so freaking intrigued with her. I ordered her book, but I heard that she was once on 20/20 and I can't find a video of that anywhere. I don't know much about her because the video we watched was short but the instructor said that she was "controversial". Does anyone know why she would be controversial ? Also for those who have read her book or just know alot about her, have you done the gelatin thing ? I want to use her as my topic for a speech I'm giving so any info. about her or links would be really really helpful.
I love Bev Bos! I first heard of her in a Parent Ed. class that my son and I went to when he was little. And I also learned about her in my child development class. I can't think of why she would be controversial, but I know her ideas are unconventional. Is the gelatin thing were the kids use droppers of different colored water and kinda injected it into the gelatin? I think I remember that. Sorry I don't know more about her but I just wanted to tell you I'm with you on how freaking cool she is! Good luck on your speech!

If I'm right I think she ran a day care center....she's a big into art, creative expression and music. I'm getting old so I might not be remembering this right but I think one of her ideas is that adults should never make a model showing kids how an art project should look when it's done- cause then it would be more about the product than the process. I'm sure you could find out more about her if you googled her. I otta do that too!!
Yes, that is right about her being the one that says never to model anything for children especially in art. I love her ideas, but I'm not sure I would consider her books to be in the parenting genre. More like early childhood education or something. Yes that gelatin thing is the one with the droppers and the food coloring and the kids really do love is as much as she says they do. I have googled her alot in and I never seem to come up with much of anything. Well, I have a poem to analyze before bed so I gotta get to work.
