alright.
My little one now is 10 weeks old, she was 5 weeks early, and only had to have a little help with oxygen when she was born for 2 hours. everything was fine with her untill she started to lose weight. she got down to 4lbs. 4oz. and was 5lbs. 4oz. when she was born. since she wasn't gainig weight for a month straight they put her in the hospital for a week. they found out that she had a urinary tract infection. No one knows how she got it because we ALWAYS wipe front to back. Anyways... just wondering if anyone else has had this problem...
So we had that all resolved, then she started having a really hard time going poop. we thought it was because of the iron in the formula (i had to stop breast feeding because she wasn't getting enough). The doctors think that there might be more than just the iron that is making her not able to go to the bathroom.... like everything wasn't fully developed. (i guess) I Just need some advice.. i havent been a mom for too long and don't know what to do!!!
Thanks a ton

many questions!!!

Hi Amanda,
Sorry, I don't ahve any advice except to continue doing what you're doing. Medical attention and love is what your little girl needs. Make sure to talk to your pediatrician about all of your concerns and never feel afraid to ask questions.
Do you know the reason that's why your babe can't poop? Treyton had a really hard time pooping forever, not because he wasn't fully developed but because he could never figure out what muscles to use. He'd feel the need and just push out every muscle he could find, and barely ever hit the right muscle, and when he did, he'd forget which one it was for the next time.
We had to train him, urgh. Little tiny baby glycerine suppositories, we put one in his bum three poops in a row when we could tell he really had to, not only did it lube the area but it helped him focus which muscle to use, after three times of doing it in a row he remembered which one it was each time after, and never had a problem pooping again.
