I was watching Dr. Phil this afternoon because I didn't feel like changing the channel lol. But it was actually kind of interesting. One mother put her daughter in beauty pageants. She's been in 50 of them since she was 18 months old...she's four now. This little girl had braces at 18 months...the mother said that she wanted them! I guess it kind of blows my mind that people can do this to their kids. I mean I'm not saying that all pageants are stupid and no offense to the people that don't take it so seriously if their kids are in pageants...but 50 pageants in the course of what 2 1/2 years? Isn't that kind of crazy?
i can't believe they would put braces on baby teeth! I had braces when I was in middle school and they hurt so bad!
Personally, I think that little kids in pageants and shit like that is pretty pathetic. Yeah, that's something you want to teach your kids at a very young age, that looks are EVERYTHING. Way to go.

parents livin out dreams of themself on their children is what it sounds like, but that poor lil girl, i can understand if the lil girl enjoyed doing it, but somtimes you hear of the girls that have no interest in it, but their parents make them do it anyway, and the sad part is the self esteem that this child is goin to have after she looses a pagent, growing up is rough as it is, let alone puttin a kid into a un-needed stressful situation
I seriously can't believe they were even allowed to put braces on a baby. God, they already had to go through that whole teething thing, and then they have to get braces for teeth that will just fall out anyway? I think pageants are OK if it's something the kid requests when it's old enough not to feel pressured by the parents. Otherwise, I think it sucks that they put a kid through that just to live out their own fucking dreams.
