It wasen't *my* expierence but my sister's. She had to go to PP for an abortion.
We went to one place in Brooklyn. It was SO hot in the waiting room. The heat was about to give me a nose bleed. It was a dirty, unprofessional place so I was scared being in there. There was a security guard at the front of the door. I was in PP for 4 1/2 hours...I went in and outside 3-4 times. The whole time I was in there, the security guard was on the phone not paying attention to anyone. He just waved people in even though they set off the metal detector. Very unsafe.
A week later, we had to go to a PP in NYC because the other one would not give my sis her abortion. We get there and it's fairly clean and 100% nicer than the last. We were in there for 2 1/2 hours when these 2 HS girls walk in. [I'm in HS myself] Everyone in the waiting room was quiet because they all seemed scared, like I was about my sister. These girls walk in like it's a party. They're laughing, screaming etc. They were talking SO loud that everyone in that room knew their life stories. They cut school to come here for a friend who was in the process of getting her abortion. They kept calling and calling and calling this boy to make him go down there. He finnaly came down and sits down and yells "That's not my fucking baby!!!!" Clearly, he was still in denial that this other girl was pregnant. Then the girls start screaming and laughing and saying things like "There sucking your baby out now. You hear the vaccum cleaner? hahahahahaa" I wanted to puke. My sister was in there getting an abortion and I was so worried about her. I was with my mom who had tears in her eyes and 2 mom's across the way from me waiting their daughters to come out from their abortions. I wanted to smack these girls SO bad. I wish someone would have said something to them. They were very disrespectful. They finally left with the boy and didn't even wait for their friend to come out. Ugh...disgusting.

that makes me want to cry and throw up.
why are people so insensitive?
Wow, that sucks. I've been to the PP on bleecker street and it is usually extremely proffesional and clean. I would definitely suggest going there as opposed to brooklyn.
Was this in the front room where you first walk in? I'm surprised. I remember there being security guards there. I would definitely write a letter so this isn't tolerated in the future. Is you sister doing okay? I hope she didn't have to hear those jerks.
Bleeker street...that's the one in Brooklyn or in the city? I went to both. I remember being on Bleeker strret but can't remember if that one was in Brooklyn or the city lol.
In the brooklyn one, you took an elevator up to PP, got out and checked in with the security guard [who was talking on the phone]. Then there was a front desk and a waiting room.
In the one in the city, you just checked in with security then sat in the waiting room. There was a room behind that for the patients.
Luckily, my sister didn't get to hear any of that crap. Her friend was also there having an abortion and she had a friend in the waiting room with me. We couldn't believe those girls that we heard!
