Go for the store brands! They taste the same [they even did a test on people who HATE store brands and they couldn't tell the difference!], they're mostly from the same manufactuor [sp?], and mostly all the ingredients are the same! In average, you'll save a total of 30%!

I love Aldi! Not only are they extremely cheap, but their stuff tastes better than the name brands.
Aldi! I love aldi. Its great the way they have knockoff food, i once saw something along the lines of Betsy Trucker or something, and the waffles say "waffles" across them just like eggos have theirs.
Exvcept for pop tarts. Dont ever get the store brand unless you want to be totally grossed out.
hahah, i was going to start a thread on what off brands NOT to buy. the shredded cheese is nasty and doesnt melt right. and if you kid loves ranch dressing (mine thinks its a food group) dont buy the cheapo, it taste like mayo. yuck!
Another store brand not to buy is instant potatoes. Blech! You have to add like a gallon of salt and butter to make them taste decent.
SkyKid- I'm thinking of our Millville cereal that we know and love. Aunt Maple's syrup and Happy Farm dairy stuff, too. yeah I agree that the ALDI brands taste better than store-brands.

i buy 90% generic brands.... i find that not taking my kid to the market with me is another way to save $ she always wants the name brand items she sees on tv... plus i can focus better on finding bargins when i dont have her.

DUDE, near wrestling matches have broken out over whether to buy TRIX yogurt or the store brand.
Ugh, everything at my house has to have a superhero on the damn box.
And right now, all the expensive shit (pepsi, kellogg, etc etc) is endorsing Star wars so I can't take the boy (including Jude) anywhere without having to fork over a fortune for that crap!
omg it's so true. I hate going to any stores with Audrey, I save much more when I go alone.
clipping coupons and USEING them works if your going to buy brand name!! SO hates when I use them...lol!
