We are planning a benifit/memorial for mid-west folks to come and honor the memorie of Allison Crews. Proceeds will go to Cade and to continue Alli's inspirational work
It is going to be on June 25th (Saturday) and we will be providing child care and places for out of town folks to stay.
We will have music, burlesque, spoken word, dinner, and readings from local mamas and allies.
We are in the initial phases of planning and not much is confermed, except for the date, and we will be able to accomodate whatever needs you may have (child care, food, place to stay, etc.)
Your help in planning is very much wanted.

This is a great idea! Thanks for posting it. Anyone know how long of a drive it is to there from Indianapolis, IN?
i'm in chicago and travelled to both cities numerous times. indy is about 3 hours from where i live and then minneapolis is another 6 or so. so, about 10 hours in all, a rough estimation.
also if you have to go thru chicago plan a time when there will be no rush hour traffic, that can make a 1 or 2 hour difference in you travel time. But yeah, i would say about 10 hours.

i was thinking we should make something to hand out at the memorial. like ribbons, buttons w/ her pic & great quote on it. my friend is coming up tomorrow and has button machine, i am sure she would let me use it. we could pitch in & buy the supplies...

I meant to tell you yesterday i can get ahold of another button maker if its needed. We could have a button making party lol. LEt me know if you are going to need it. We could hand out buttons at the pride block party and the parade too if you want.
