but, a girl that works with my boyfriend just found out she is having a girl and she is naming her Kennedy! The thing is I KNOW she took it from us because my boyfriend told his friends that work there what we are planning on naming her and stuff, and kennedy is just not a common name people go around picking. GRR I don't know why it pisses me off, maybe just because it seems like she kinda chose it all..half assed like. I have liked the name forever and sat there and thought about it, and she heard it once and just swoops in there and takes it for her kid. Dont get me wrong, I KNOW people name their kids the same stuff all the time, I'm just in a mood, so I'm venting. Would any of you feel this way??

Britt, I know how you feel. I was in for a pap like, a few months after Lyric was born and a nurse was making small talk with me and they asked me what my daughter's name was and I told them and they said, oh I saw that on the baby bytes website (hospital's birth announcement site)... and someone had named their kid Lyricariah, too. ARGH :x
ughh i know how you feel a girl that goes to my school that is friends with some of my friends and who i also talk to sometimes is also having a boy and naming him Kaleb. She clearly stole the name from me but she had the nerve to tell me that i shouldn't be mad cause my sons name will be spelt wit a C...uhhh ITS STILL SAID THE SAME WAY! frig these dumb people have to mess with our hormones even more eh? lol

While I 100% agree with your position, you can always turn it around...you picked such a great name that someone else wanted it. :D
I would be kinda pissed too. But chances are your babies are not going to grow up together, and she will never know that someone "stole" her name! And besides, people change their minds several times of what to name their baby during a pregnancy (or maybe that was just me :) ) So maybe they won't name her that after all.It's a pretty name,by the way.
I would be so mad. Maybe she will change her mind after she sees her baby and realizes she looks nothing like your baby kennedy or something. That sucks Britt!

When I was younger I always wanted to name my daughter either Willow Rain or Faye (no named picked out.) I was planning on using Willow if I have another baby and it's a girl. So I went around telling my family about it...my cousin loved it.
I just found out today that she's pregnant. And if it's a girl, she wants to name her daughter Willow Rain.
Go figure.
