Nope, Pell Grants require at least 12 credit hours to be eligable.

Yeah. It does suck, but have you considered online classes? They count like inclass ones do and you could possibly check your college site (or talk to a counsellor) for the syllabi to see if the workload is something you can handle (and see if there are lab days or on campus meetings you'd need to attend), then you get the full time credit status but can work at your own pace and do work when you have time instead of a set day/time each week.

I'd only do this if you feel you can handle "teaching" yourself, since much of the work I've done is book based and you read the lesson and do the assignments yourself and prepare yourself for tests/essays (with study guides, but mine have been someone vague or much bigger than the test itself so I had to pack in a ton of info for some not knowing what would be on the test). I loved my online classes and take whatever I can online :D

yeah, i took a few classes online and thats probably what i'm going to do but next semester i will wind up with the only classes i need left being science. and i know that if i take more than one science course at a time i'll fail it. i'm trying to decide if i can handle 2 psych courses for this semester, i'm not sure what to do about that.
i loved my online classes though, i found it much easier than going to a "regular" class. and i'm hopefully getting josh in daycare with a woman i know so i'll have some free time to concentrate on school without him on my lap. now that he's bigger i would never be able to do the online classes with him home with me. :)
