I am planning on using a baby hommack with my little one. Just wanted to know everyone else opinions about them. I think it is a great way for baby's to sleep. Let my know your opinions. :D
Can I just say that I've never seen a baby hammock before and the one in the link is so damn cute! I wish I had known about them when A was an infant. I want to sleep in one! They look soo comfy.
we have the amby, which I'd say is slightly more commercial, but also a bit safer. Why do I think it's safer? because of the zip-up panel by baby's feet. Now that my little guy can move around, he would totally fall out if that thing weren't there. Although it didn't make a damn difference for the first six months of his life. But we plan on using this until he outgrows it, so I'm glad we have one that isn't easy to climb out of.
Adjusting it is kind of a pain in the ass, but I love it. It's soo nice to just lull him back to sleep when he stirs. he wakes to nurse still, obviously, but if he's just startled awake or something he will easily go back to sleep with some swaying of the hammock :)
What style? Native inspired?
Yes, I think they are wonderful and have used them but pretty much only when camping. Just be careful, some are total junk.
This is the kind i am most likely going to get. But i'm still looking.
