No this problem didn't start this has been an on going thing and i'm starting to get irritated with him not going inside of me. if we are lucky he will get in me once a week. Is there anything i can do so he will get inside me more than just once a week or less. This is starting to effect me wanting to have sex with him.
Try lube
It sounds like its a muscle thing, you could try to relax more and not think about it as much, sometimes stress or pressure can cause you to tighten up involuntarily. If that doesnt work, check with your doctor, they can often help with this sort of thing as they know how these muscles can tighten up and prevent penetration.

Yes he is fully erect. we have tried lube and didn't work. After the holidays i'm going to the gyno to see what is going with me
There's a condition called vaginismus. It's an involuntary tightening of the vaginal muscles. This sounds like it could be your problem. Talk to your gyno about it.
I agree that you should talk to your gyno. I had a friend who had a condition (I don't remember the name of it) that made it so her bf could not penetrate her without causing her pain, which made it not worth it to have sex. It turns out she needed some very simple surgery. now she loves sex, and it also solved a lot of other problems she was having that she didn't even know were related. I'm not saying that you have anything like that - just that doctors can be very helpful. Good Luck! :)

I can totally relate to this. Our daughter is 3 months old and we still hsven't had sex..... we have lots of lube, but it won't fit in, I know I'm paranoid of sex hurting where I had my stitches.... is that part of the problem, or was my Dr. too handy with his 148 stitches?
