I graduated pharmacy tech school back in Nov. And I still haven't found a job. I looked in the newspaper and the internet. Does anbody have any other ideas. How ling did it take you other techs to find a job after you finished school.

Does you school offer any sort of career placement help?
no not really. My teacher just calls every no and then us when she finds out about a job opening.
I just kind of fell into my job as a pharmacy tech, I had no experience. I guess it depends on where you live, but I'm surprised to hear you're having so much trouble. Keep looking and good luck!
Have you tried applying at stores? Like Target, CVS, Walgreens? Also, some grocery stores have pharmacy departments.
Are you certified? I think that may give you a better chance of getting hired.

newspapers and internet are horrible for job hunting.
start telling <i>everyone</i> you know your looking for a job and have them ask around too.
make cold calls and ask for the name and address of the person in charge of hiring for yourjobhere. type up a nice letter asking for an interview to go along with your resume. and follow up!
or if you call and you get the the person in charge, ask for an interview, even if their not hiring right now, they may be soon. or already have a list of potentional employees for the nest time around.

I have applied at all of these stores. I also spoke to a walgreens representative and CVS district manager. Also I'm in the process of tyring to get certified.
