first name
Michelle
From the Hebrew name Miyka'el which meant "who is like God?".
middle name
Jennifer
From a Cornish form of the Welsh name Gwenhwyfar (see GUINEVERE). This name has been popular only since the beginning of the 20th century, when it was featured in George Bernard Shaw's play 'The Doctor's Dilemma'.
My parents were originally going to name me Jennifer Michelle, but figured that Jennifer was too popular and I'd have seven Jennifers in my class. Funnily enough, I've never known a Jennifer, but had a Michelle in my class from grade 1-8 and knew two in highschool. I'm glad though - I don't like Jennifer that much.
Me
Daisy: originally means "The day's eye".
Origin: American

Origin: French
*Benjamin:"Son of My Right Hand"
Origin: Hebrew
*Francisco:"Free Land"
Origin: Spanish
My name is Lisa and it means "consecrated to God" and is of Hebrew origin. I know my parents picked out the name, but I have no idea why they liked it or anything.
My daughter is Katherine Alexis. Her first name means "Pure and Virginal" and is Greek in origin. Her middle name means "Protector of Mankind" and is also Greek. Me and Bd found out we were having a girl and we both really liked the name Katie. But Katie sounded like a nickname, so then I decided on Katherine for the first name...like Katherine Hepburn. After we named her, it turned out that Bd's mother's middle name was Katherine and 2 of my great-great aunt's were Catherine.
My name is Katerina (Czech form of Katherine) and it means pure, virginal. Well, definitely not me. I was named after a song my mom and dad loved
My daughter's name is Alzbeta (Czech form of Elizabeth) and it means consecrated to god - which is sort of irony but I just happen to like that name a lot and such meaning won't stop me.
My SO's name is Richard, which means powerfu, rich ruler.
As for my future children, I like and consider the names Natalie (meaning: to be born), Emma (meaning: universal), Harry (NOT Harold, Harry - meaning: army ruler) and Richard, after my SO.
i am: sara lynne.
sara means princess, from hebrew, and lynne means either a lake or a waterfall depending on where you look. that is my full first name, I don't have a middle name.
the story behind my name is kinda funny.
originally, I was supposed to be Lindsey Lynne, (my last name starts with an L, too!) but my brother, who was ten at the time my mom was pregnant, put his foot down and told my parents that was an awful name combined with my last name. thankfully, they listened.
so they decided to name me Sarah after my great-grandmother, and Lynne for the lake we live on as a middle name. however, somehow there was an error filling out the birth certificate (or something like that, anyhow), and I ended up with Sara, no h, for my first name and they put Lynne in the space with my first name, so technically sara lynne is my full first name and I have no middle name.
It was Air Wolf. :D http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086662/
My name:
Sarah-Princess-Hebrew
Elisabeth-Concecrated to God-Hebrew

Elisabeth-Concecrated to God-Hebrew
Dh and I went through an entire babyname book and Reese was the only name we both liked. I'm not even exaggerating. I'm so glad we named her Reese. It totally fits her. :)
I always knew I wanted to use Elisabeth as the middle name of my first daughter. I just always really like it. Although, I'm embarrassed to say that I never knew what it meant until just now.
Me:
Meghan Kathleen
Meghan -- Welsh, derived from the Greek for "strength". Odd, vaguely Irish misspelling added by my mother. It is not (as I was repeatedly told when I lived in Ireland) an Irish name. It was the name of a baby on my mom's favorite soap opera who DIED. took me awhile to get over that.
Kathleen -- Irish, derived from Katherine, "pure". My mom's best friend.
My son:
Malachy: Irish, name of a 10th century monk. Named for my downstairs neighbor from my flat in Dublin. It's mal-a-KEY, not mal-a-kye, in Ireland.
Sebastian: DH's name. Definition I think is above, so I won't repeat.
We call him Max because "Where the Wild Things Are" was mine and my best friend's favorite book when we were kids.
My name is Amanda Lynn... Amanda means "worthy of love", not sure what lynn means.. My parents named me this because they liked it and actually agreed on it  No other reason for it..
My son will be named Tevian Edward.. Tevian is my creation from the name Teva which is Hebrew for nature.. Edward because that's BD's first name..
Kyrie: Kyrie Elasion "lord have mercy", Catholic
Yuen: A common Chinese and Vietnamese surname, also a crowned gibbon...other than that, I can't find the meaning.
Named by my mom, who liked the name of the opera singer. Yuen is my father's best friend from childhood's first name.
Lorelei- Which is actually my nickname that a friend gave to me when I was younger, because she thought I had an amazing voice, means:
Lo·re·lei-
A siren of Germanic legend whose singing lures sailors to shipwreck.
Ethan, my son.
Okay, the original meaning that I saw for Ethan was this one, when I named him.
Ethan- Strong, firm.
The second one that I found today said Ethan- Loyal.
And then the third one that I came across was this one:
Biblical- From the Hebrew for long lived.
Alternatives: Ethen, Etan.
My birth name, which is Christina, means:
Christina
Gender: Feminine
Usage: English, German
Pronounced: kris-TEEN-a
Feminine form of CHRISTIAN. This was the name of a Swedish queen of the 17th century who was interested in the arts and philosophy. She gave up her crown to become a Roman Catholic.
Obviously the meaning of my birth name, just really doesn't fit me very well, LoL.
my first name is Laura which means crowned with Laurels, or something like that.
Kaitlyn my daughter's name is gaelic and means pure i beileive.
Nathaniel means gift of god in hebrew. i'm not particularly religious or jewish but i liked the name anyhow.
Me: Cristi Nicole
CRISTI m Romanian
Pet form of CHRISTIAN
From a medieval Latin name that meant "Christian". This was the name of ten kings of Denmark. Another famous bearer of the name was Hans Christian Andersen, the Danish author of such fairy tales as 'The Ugly Duckling' and 'The Emperor's New Clothes'. In medieval England this was also a feminine name.
NICOLE
Gender: Feminine
French feminine form of NICHOLAS
From the Greek name Νικολαος (Nikolaos) which meant "victory of the people" from Greek νικη (nike) "victory" and λαος (laos) "people". Saint Nicholas was a 4th-century bishop from Anatolia who, according to legend, saved the daughters of a poor man from lives of prostitution. He is also known as Santa Claus (from Dutch Sinterklaas), the bringer of Christmas presents. He is the patron saint of children, sailors and merchants, and Greece and Russia. Nicholas was also the name of two czars of Russia and five popes.
My mum named me. They thought I was going to be a boy, and if I was my name would be Scott. They thought if by off chance they were wrong, they were going to name me Tiana (a name which I may use at a later date, as I love it), but last second my mum said I was a Cristi. Nicole, just because it sounded nice together.

From the Greek name Αλεξανδρος (Alexandros), which meant "defending men" from Greek αλεξω (alexo) "to defend, help" and ανηρ (aner) "man" (genitive ανδρος (andros)). Alexander the Great, King of Macedon, is the most famous bearer of this name. In the 4th century BC he built a huge empire out of Greece, Egypt, Persia, and parts of India. This was also the name of emperors of Russia, kings of Scotland and Yugoslavia, and eight popes. Also, Sir Alexander MacKenzie was an explorer of the north and west of Canada in the 18th century.
I chose the name. I liked the name Trey but felt it looked more like it should be a nickname. So I threw a ton at the end of it. heh. Alexander is the name of my best friend since I was a kid. We decided when I was like, 12, that if we ever had kids it'd include the name of the other one. It flowed well with Treyton anyways.
I am named after a priest who was really active in the civil rights movements. He's still around and a great guy. My name is Sherrill- It's a masculine name and means Charles- hence my nickname Charlie
