My daughter was born with dark hair on her back and shoulders. The nurse, and all the baby books I read said the hair would someday fall out. 4.5 years later, she's still as furry. it;s a little cute now, she calls it her puppy fur, but I wonder whether it will EVER come off.

heheehe.. my first son was born with a head full of black hair and he also had lots of "fur" on his back and neck.... some fell out, but you can still see his back is quite fuzzy with brown peach fuzz. he claims to be part monkey. :roll: .. lol..( hes 8 btw :) )
* almost 8
Does she have fair skin or olive skin?
Alot of times some girls will have darker fuzz all through out their bodies. I know I personally have blond fuzz - though the hair on my head is dark. I use to work for a doctor's office that delt with hair removal and Ive seen alot of it. It SHOULD not get coarse on her as she gets older - it will and should be a baby fine thin fuzz.
My bella is fuzzy too...mainly just on her back (down her spine). I heard the same thing, that it would fall out but hers hasn't. She's 3 and a half. I think its cute, although I do worry about people teasing her when she's older. She has really thick dark hair on her head also.
I was born with dark fuzz all over my back, and 17 years later it's still there, it's even gotten courser, it really gets to me cos i hate wearing clothes that show it cos it's embarrasing, i dunno what to do about it though, it's just one of those things i guess. My mum was told it would just fall out too.
Strangely, Samantha, my Bella is so fuzzy, too. She has the hairiest back and legs. She may be part monkey.....
maybe its all in the name Bella then...BCPR's daughter's name is Bella too, I believe :lol:
That is SOO funny.
