Hey all. I was here a while back looking for some anwsers about my son who I gave up for adoption. When I was pregnant with Simon I was only 15, I turned 16 3 days before he was born. He was adopted by my youth director, it is a completly open adoption and I am his god mother. I am actually glad of the choices I made and the out come of the whole experience. At the time I found this I was beginning to question my decision. It was with the advise of you on here and the support I saw given from everyone to everyone that convinced me I was capable of raising my little girl. Simons "father" wasn't even in the picture anymore and now he is awaiting trial. He doesn't have a clue that he had a son, I didn't have to tell him because when I gave birth he was in another state and he had made no attempts to contact me. Anyways in late March of last year I found out I was pregnant again. This time I decided to keep the baby and raise her myself. Geniva Rose was born December 27, 2005. It is strange raising her myself knowing that I could also have a toddler who is full of life and energy running around also. It was actually really cool because Simon's adoptive parents also found out they were having a baby and Trina is due the end of January. I cant wait for her to have the baby, they dont yet know what it is. Simon keeps saying he is getting a little brother no matter what. Anyways I just wanted to post my updated story and let others know that I have now done both the addoption and raising a child and both are hard and fulfulling at the same time.

That is a beautiful story, I'm glad your situation worked out so well!

The open adoption sounds like a great idea. My bf was in a closed adoption, and is still looking for his birth mother. Simon is lucky to have so much love.
