I am not sure if someone posted about this already but the Children's Book of the Month Club is one of the greatest things I have discovered so far. For your initial enrollment, you get to choose 8 books (including booksets!) for $0.25 each and you are allowed to choose two additional books for $4.95 each. If you choose to purchase the additional two books, you are only obligated to buy three more books at the club's prices in a period of two years. After that you are no longer obligated to buy anything else. If I had bought all of the books/booksets that I chose, I would have had to spend over $200 but I only had to pay $40.43 for S&H. All of the books are brand new and are usually wrapped in plastic. This is such an amazing deal that I had to tell all you mamas about it! Let's get those kiddies a-readin'! <3
I haven't signed up for any book of the month clubs, but every month, the scholastic order comes home with Katie from school. I let her get 2-3 books each month.
She got tons of books for her b-day and Christmas this past year too. I need to find someplace to put them all! Right now they're laying in stacks on top of her dresser. I have no shelves or bookcases in her room, b/c there's no where to put them! She shares the room with my bf's son, so there's all his stuff and all her stuff in there. I think I just need a bigger house where each kid can have their own room.
