I had my training for my internship at Naral on Sunday for the spring semester. They wanted us to do something for this day, I am definately sending flowers or something to a local clinic around here... I thought I would post the day though, because these people that provide safe & legal abortions are amazing. I got a hardcopy of an article about a man that traveled thosands of miles everyday/week to provide abortions to women in the south - I will have to post it.

thats awesome :D
Be careful about sending flowers to a clinic. The clinics I worked at would not accept unsolicited gifts/deliveries because of the security risk. It's a lovely idea, but maybe you should contact the clinic manager first.
Thanks for letting me know. At Naral they actually told us to do that, I'll check though.
I never would have thought of that! Good thinking!
wow this is unrelated but that is my daughters birth day!!
Do y'all have any suggestions for good ways to recognize and appreciate clinics and providers that don't pose security risks?
I think it would be fine to do flowers, etc., but as I said, I'd talk to the manager ahead of time to get the okay.
Yep I talked to my supervisor at NARAL about this and NARAL is going to talk to the clinic I am sending some to before hand so they know. Thanks for bringing this up! Megan (Supervisor at NARAL) are going to let the other interns and volunteers know.
write a public letter of thanks & publish it yr schools newspaper.
send a card, note of appreciation.
call them & ask what you can do to help.
donate money in their name to fund abortions.
Those are great ideas, thank you!
It's March 10... whoops, typo on the info I recieved.
