one of the girls i work with has 2 male cats..well they are sprayin to mark their terratory everywhere. shes gettin them fixed next week, but shes tryin to find a solution to get the smell out of her carpets..i remember hearing something about vinager, but i cant remember what it was. any one have any ideas?

Vinager is the only thing that will trully take the cat pee smell out. Club soda just takes stains out. Ive used 3 parts V, 1 part W.
Nothing will get that smell out and I mean it. My cat did this last year and we had to take out not only the carpet but the subfloor too. Vinegar will take it out a bit but it will never go away.
Cat urine is so gross too. Seriously, she has to remove the carpet.
I agree with Candy-eyed. I've got three cats. One of them pees on EVERYTHING.
The ONLY thing that has worked for me ( vinegar didn't, but I didn't put much on, because I can't stand the smell of vinegar ) is some product called "Nature's Miracle". Apparently it uses enzymes and such. It works well, but you can still smell the pee. Our landlord had to remove all the carpeting.
Well, ive got 6 cats, one of which gets emotional(shall i say possesive and pissy) over anything that has to do with me and pisses everywhere whenever the mood strikes and vinager, when used right, has removed the smell 100%.
Nature's Miracle. It's the -only- thing that gets out the cat pee smell.

natures miracle really is a miracle.... i also use this product called kids and pets, it was worked for us... but dog pee just doesnt have that same smell that cat pees does.
