I've been looking online, but I can't seem to find anything on this.
I just had my baby almost three weeks ago (Feb 20) and I was wondering about the skin on my belly. It's darker than the rest of my skin and the texture is very strange. Plus my bellybutton is really dark now too and it hasn't gone back in yet (although there seems to be an indention underneath it). Is this normal? If so, how long do you think it'll take to lighten? And, yes, I do have a few stretchmarks on my stomach, but they're not red/purple/silver, they're the shade my skin normally is, they just go in more than the rest of my skin.
It'll fade gradually, although my babe is 17 months and my belly button is still black inside.
My belly button did that too...I think its dead skin!!!
It grossed me out, so one day, i took a q-tip, some facial soap *rubbing alcohol works too apparently* and just scrubed the hell out of it....all that black stuff came out, and my belly button looked good as new *exept its all stretched looking and funny*
