Count me in! Sisica, what do you suggest we do? I know that Rapids the water park is in West Palm, but I don't know of anything else. I think we should put together an agenda. We are going to have a house full of kids, we don't want to risk anyone getting bored! lol The beach is always nice. Are we getting there Friday evening? If so, we can have a pizza night or something and get to know each other. Maybe Saturday go to the beach. Any other suggestions?
I would get there like late friday...so kiddo will be sleeping in carseat (since he usually screams in said carseat) If possible.I guess orlando girlys if you wanna carpool let me know.

My dad wants to send me and my daughter to so. florida sometime this summer to visit family. I would love to make it coincide with this get together. I am completely up for meeting you girls. The only problem is - I have no car, no lisence for that matter. I will be in margate. Is there public transportation to where you guys will be that weekend?
Margate is perfect, Mae! It is close to me and Dawn, and I believe Sisica as well? Not sure, because I don't know West Palm Beach very well so I'm not sure exactly where she is... anyway, transport from Margate should be super easy to coordinate. :)

Hi Ama... I didn't want to leave you hanging here in this thread! So I figured I would reply and reaffirm that I am still coming... Also I don't have many ideas on what to do, besides heading to the beach and maybe rapids... I think it would be okay to have a few plans, and maybe a lot of down time? Just to hang out and get to know each other, with a few activities along the way, such as the beach one day, and the rapids another day.
A problem with that would be if it rains, which we all know it tends to do in September. So we need some indoor plans too. I am not all that familiar with West Palm but I will look up some ideas on the 'net, and we can all discuss or something.
I also wanted to say that my uncle has a house down in the Keys on the ocean. I am going to see if maybe I could use it for a weekend for a gathering sometime in the coming year. It is big enough for everyone, has a hot tub and a dock. Maybe we could have a GM fishing trip or something? I dunno, would anyone be interested in such a thing? Am I jumping in early trying to plan another gathering before we even get to this one?!?!?! Why yes I am! :P

I would definitely like to go to the keys! Now, this trip, hmmm, I would love to go to cityplace with all the kids. Last time I checked there was a big FAO Shwartz(sp). That would be fun. We could spend a day hangin' at my sister's pool too, good way to relieve the heat. Rapids definitely! Anyone know the price of admission? Also, are everyone's kiddos gonna be big enough for a waterpark? I'll think of more ideas later. I'm kinda foggy with a cold :?

My little one will be ten mths ...do you think thats too young for a waterpark?? ive been to the one you are talking about. I will have to ask to see who wants to stay at sisicas and whos going to the hotel room. Or if someone wants to host thats good too. Down time sounds great. We can all have some gm gibberings.
I say we all stick together if we go to the waterpark and switch off with the kiddos. I don't think that is too young, there are definitely children's areas at Rapids. But she will be too little for the things the mamas and older kids might want to do! I went there about a year ago with my little cousins, they had no problems with most of the slides, the youngest was four.
Ama, that is so awesome of you to spring for a hotel room! I've been thinking myself it might be nice to have a hotel room on the beach to chill at. We used to stay at this one hotel in west palm every year, at least twice, but we were banned for having guests! :shock: So I don't really know a good place.

Daniel will be staying at home for this one, I think he'll be busy recovering from meeting my crazy family anyway. I'm thinking I can drive up on friday night and then leave saturday night so I can utilize Sunday to finish the tons of homework I'm sure to have. So that's my plan. My car has a crappy beackseat, but I could bring one person comfortably if someone is south and doesn't have a ride- just keep in mind I'm leaving early. :) I'm excited!!

Well, unfortunately, FAO is now closed (nationwide -- went bankrupt) But cityplace is still so much fun! It's my favorite place!!!!
