Hey, I'm Skylar, I'm 19 yrs old and I have Eric who is 21 months, he will be 2 on August 8 and a month later I turn 20.
I had Eric when I was 17 right before my sr. year of high school.
I live in St. Paul, MN with Eric, my parents and my sister.
I am no longer w/ the bd and I am single right now. Haven't been w/ bd for a little over 6 months.
I go to school full time at the U of MN and I am majoring in women's studies. I am one final away from being done with my first year! I want to go to law school and work in family law, mainly w/ younger moms to help them with child support, divorce, etc.
I work part time at a hair salon/store, which I hate but they have flexible hours so I still work there... plus I like the people I work with just the pay sucks.
I like to take pictures, garden, play with Eric, hang out with friends, read, watch movies...
I am a pro-choice, vegetarian feminist and I hope to raise my son with the same values.

I'm Heather, 23 y/o mama to Lyric who'll be 5 in September! Ack... I am single, living in Mpls w/ her and the pets (2 rabbits, a mouse & a hamster). I graduate on the 18th with my associates in graphic design, but have summer school and am taking web design classes in the fall. BD & I broke it off a year and a half ago, but we're still "seeing" each other & living together off/on ... but I finally told him to fuck off because he was cheating one me, manipulating me, etc... and that has been great - that was about 2 months ago. Now I like a new guy *sigh* :)

I was on the pill, too when I got pregnant - I was a senior in high school. Some days like, Kat said parenting is fun, but somethiens it sucks... Lyric is learning to read small words & letters and we're still getting her name writing down.

I'm very politically active, go to rallies a lot, and I just finished my internship with NARAL as the Campus Rep at the college...

I'm Cristi. I'm 22 years old and my boy Trey is 2 1/2. Living in Calgary, but I was born and raised in Edmonton. I'm Carrier, from the Lake Babine Nation in BC.

I work in engineering with a secondment in aboriginal relations. I'm also embarking on a side project answering emails for a Native Language website. I'm political, feminist, but my main focus these days is on Native rights. I'm vegetarian, so is Trey. I'm an intactivist, strongly oppose routine circumcision. I volunteer as much as I can with various youth groups in Calgary, and for the humane society. I'm hoping to raise Trey with feminist ideals and hope to instill as much of my beliefs as I can.

I start school this September taking Geomatics Engineering. How I'm going to juggle working full time, schooling full time and a toddler, I'm still not sure, but it should be fun to try ;)

I also run the Breastfeeding Buddy system here @ GM, so if you've either just given birth or soon going to and would like some help establishing a good breastfeeding relationship, please PM me and I'll hook you up. GM has a ton of volunteers who can help be your one on one mentor, answer any questions you have if they know the answers, or look them up for you if they don't, provide whatever support and encouragement you need, etc. It really is a great program, so please if you would like the help, don't be shy and go ahead and shoot me a PM. As well as you can PM me if you'd like to be one of the volunteers to help out!

Hi I'm Genevieve, Mama to Ian who just turned 5 may 1st, and Jane who turned 1 April 1st. I married bd when I was 18, after knowing him for TWO WHOLE WEEKS! hehe. Incidently, I was already pregnant with Ian, but we didn't know it at the time. My pregnancies were not planned in the sense that we sat down and said 'hey let's make some babies!', but we didn't use consistant birth control either, and as many can probably tell you, that equals babies in a lot of cases.

Right now I answer calls for CIS and have extensive knowledge in Immigration law, if anyone needs any help (or just questions, or whatever). I've done it for a year and a half.

I graduated high school, but have not set my foot upon a college campus as of yet, but I definitely want to, sometime in the near future.

I am Hilary,
I became pregnant with my son when I was 18. It was unplanned but not unwanted. I am 20 now and he will turn 1 this summer. I grew up in western Massachusetts, and LOVE the northeast, but am currently living in Austin, Texas.

I work as a nanny, and occationally in daycares and nurserys. It's nice for me because I can bring Finn (my son) to work with me. I decided to start nannying because when I was applying for jobs originally I realized that I could not make enough above the cost of daycare for it to be worth it.

In the Fall I will working less, and going to school full time at the University of Texas. At my old school I was an environmental studies major but that major doesn't exist at UT, so I will be majoring in English and getting certified to teach high school. I am totally excited about it.

I love going backpacking, kayaking, hiking, or just being outdoors, and I plan on taking Finn with me on a backpacking trip for the first time this summer. As he grows I hope to teach him all about sustainable living, and to give him all the skills he needs to survive in the woods should he ever want or need to (identifying edible plants, building debree shelters, etc..)
I am an environmentalist, a feminist, an activist. I hope to teach my son these same values. Glad to get to know you all!

i'm jenni mama to 2.5 year old xander, i just turned 23. i'm finishing up my finals this week and will graduate may 20th with my BA in social work with a concentration in client counseling. i applied for my MWS (masters in social work) and am waiting to hear back. idk what i want to do yet. i really want to go to law school for family law but for now i'm going for social work. i want to either go into counseling or the research end of social work.

i bartend right now. and waitress. and dispatch for a police dept. when i'm not working i like hanging out with my friends, watching movies, drinking with my friends, chillaxing with my kid (hes awesome! hes two and can already count, knows his colors and knows his ABCs. we're working on potty training.) and studying. i love to read and knit as well but i'm not very good.

i got pregnant when i was 19 (total accident). i got married to BD when xander was 2.5 months old and we seperated 8.5 months later. we're just now getting divorced and if you need help with custody childsupport or divorce papers let me know. now i'm with an amazing guy who loves me and well its alllll good.

I'm Heather. I'm 23 and my son Jacob is nearing 10 months old. He is the sweetest little man around. My pregnancy with Jacob was accidental and shocking. It was a difficult time emotionally because I did not know what I wanted to do. I put off making a decision for long enough that it was made for me and I had Jacob. It worked out well because once Jacob was born I was happy with him and I try not to have any regrets. I am still with bd and the 3 of us live together in a one bedroom apartment.

I have a college diploma in Aboriginal Law and Advocacy and now I am working on my degree in Political Science with a minor in Womens Studies. I have no idea what I would like to do when I graduate but I want to put that off for as long as possible because I love school! I am living off massive amounts of students loans and I am really hoping to get some scholarships for next year.

Hallo, I'm Charlie. I just turned 18 (Nzingha and I have the same birthday). My kiddo is Cae, he's almost 18 months old.

I'm going through a divorce right now with Cae's father. We got married when I was 16, shortly before Cae was born and separated in October. We conceived Cae on purpose. I love being a girlmom, although being a single mama is really hard sometimes.
Cae's dad has visitation, but never pays child support.

I'm starting at the University of Texas in the fall. I graduated high school in February, saludatorian of my high school class. I've gotten some rocking scholarships and would be happy to help people with application essays. So far I've gotten around $100,000 in scholarships and grants for the next four years, and also all need met for Graduate school (which I'm hoping will pay for medical school).

I want to be a general practicioner and OB/GYN so I can work with entire families and communities. I also want to travel and practice medicine all over the world.

Cae and I are both vegan. I am really active in social justice issues. We volunteer at an anarchist bookstore here in Austin, Texas.

I work for two nonprofits, one that goes to middle schools and high schools to talk about the "rights, realities, and responsibilities of young parents and one that organises around education issues, like segregation etc.

Hey, I'm Amanda, better known as Ama. I'm a 22 y/o mama to 2 y/o Gabriel--he was born 3 days after I turned 20, we're a pair of funky Capricorns. I grew up in eastern Kentucky, was an honors student in high school until I dropped out, got married and separated at 18, got pregnant at 19 in the middle of a three month 'fling'. BD pops out from behind a tree once every year or so and scares the crap out of me, but I think his policy is to only be involved with the kids whose mamas he had LTRs with. I was serious with a guy from the time I was three months pregnant until Gabriel's second birthday, but by the time he proposed I had gotten sick of waiting. i am lauren, 19 with 3 1/2 year old boy girl twins. i am just finishing highschool (one year late) and planning on starting at the community college here in austin in the fall. i want to be a nurse midwife when i grow up and organize a local urban cohousing community. i also want to travel worldwide and volunteer in developing countries spreading medical care and education. i want to take my children with me and expose them to the world.

i am not vegetarian or vegan. but i plan to buy free range meat and own my own chickens when i can afford it.

i am currently looking for my first job ever! probably at a 24 hour diner or something so i can work at night.

i am not with the bd. he was abusive and is not allowed to see the kids unsupervised. but hasnt seen them for more than 3 hours total in the past year and a half (i am really thankful for this because he is NOT a parent in any sense) he does not pay childsupport or contact me other than the occasional fucked up "i miss you, please feel sorry for me" phone call.
i live with my mom now, but she wants me to move out asap. so i am in the process of figuring out how to support myself, two kids and be in school and working.

I just turned 24 last month and i feel really old. But anyway,i have a 4.5 year old girly,"jules". I got preg w/ her when i was 18 and had her when i was 19. I'm a single mom,but still hang out with bd all the time. We have a really odd relationship.

I gradutated college last August,and just got my first "grown up" job which i start in a couple weeks. Its a social work position w/ child protective services. Im nervous but excited about it.

long term plans are to move off to a new city (but same state) and go to grad school,hopefully for school psychology. I'd like to go to UT for grad school but we'll see.

I really wish I had more real-life mama friends, but unfortunately i dont. Girlmom has been such a wonderful support system for me, for that reason. I started lurking when i was pregnant, but didnt sign up til my kid was about 1.5. And i've been here ever since, although i try to stand back a lot more since im more of an "older mama" now.

As for the kiddo-- She loves ballet,tap,and is starting gymnastics this saturday,so she's super excited about that. She loves books,david bowie, bob marley, and owls. Definitely her own person, & i am so incredibly lucky to have her as my kid.

I'm Jube. I've had this nickname since I was 12. People have stopped calling me that, or adapted it into other things (funniest one is Pube). I kept Jube as an internet name.

I have a almost 14 month old little boy. I live in common law with his father who is 19. I will be 21 in August. I want more kids, but in quite a few more years, and have no plans to get married or anything like that. We live in a major city in Saskatchewan Canada.

Right now my main concerns are finding full-time work. In the fall my boyfriend wants to go back to school. He needs 8 classes for a grade 12. but I too would like to get back there someday...

I jump back and forth between what want to do. I used to really want to be a band teacher. I'm a born leader, and that would have been an awesome career for me. BUT the music program here is extremely competative and the people are quite judgemental and immature. I know this because my sister is in the program and was bullied as bad as she was in high-school. I don't think I could cut it, and I'm completely out of shape with my instrument. Also, lessons to get back in shape are really expensive. In my best days I would say I was early university skills on the Saxophone. I'm also going through a lot of marching-band withdrawl right now. I aged out of the program I was in right when I got pregnant. I still really miss it. I could have done that for a living, if there were a living to be made out of it (in canada their sure isn't). I was a drum major and a guard captain. Both of which, I loved...

I have other passions. I'm also pretty learned in the whole resturant managment and administration field. I could take a course in that one day. But I am mostly considering a diploma in "yough care" which is kind of like social work with at risk teens. I would like to specialize in teen pregnancies. My city doesn't offer enough support. I would also like to go to univ. and take a few womans studies courses.

I'm transferring to a small women's college this fall, and in the winter bd is gonna start school at a digital arts college. It's gonna be crazy, but really good for us, and hopefully at least a little bit fun!

I am going to major in anthropology and sociology, and perhaps double-major in spanish or latin-american studies. My dream is to help advocate for culturally relative global human rights, with a focus on the needs of Latin American women and children. In the fall I'll be taking an "anthropological theory" class with a "service learning" component, and I'm hoping I'll be able to do my service learning by organizing teen moms from local high schools and helping them to connect with one another as well as college mamas.

I'm an old lady ally/youth advocate working in the teen pregnancy prevention field, trying to change public opinion & public policy about teen parents & young people in general. I'm here because reading what young moms have to say counteracts so much of the statistics and negative portrayals of teen parents that are out there, & I'm trying to deprogram myself out of repeating the stereotypes.

My first baby is due in November and I have to tell you, you all have my utmost respect for being parents at an age when you are stigmatized & have so few rights. I don't know how I'm going to handle it, and I'm in my 30s.

Teryn is 4 1/2 yr old big girl who is absolutely in love w/ going to school and getting to ride that big yellow bus. I became pg w/ her at 19 after knowing her "father" for a little under two months. She was very unplanned since i wasn't on anything except for tequila (which doesn't work well at preventing pregnancy btw). Her "father" (who is 31 now and has another kid he doesn't see) bailed soon after i told him but would still call once a week to make my life hell. He pays child support since the state automatically takes it from him, and i've been in and out of court dealing w/ his demands for the past couple years...he likes to play the victim and thinks everyone owes something to him. So if anyone needs any advice about visitation, name changing, moving, etc, i'm getting to be an expert!

Marley just turned 2. She's been my only planned baby. She wants to be just like her sister, is super smart, large vocabulary, half-potty trained, but informed me yesterday that she doesn't want to be a "big girl". She's quite content w/ playing "the baby".

I've been a SAHM for 2.5 years and am married to Marley's daddy...who has also been daddy to Teryn since she was a yr old. I'm also 7 months pg w/ little girl #3....EDD August 5th. This was a major shocker and i had plans all layed out for an abortion. However there were doubts, so here we are. Am planning to breastfeed and cloth diaper....and am also in the middle of deciding whether or not to birth in a hospital or at home.

We just moved to the DC-metro area...Fairfax, Virginia. DH got a good job offer so he's been here since the first of the year staying w/ his parents and we came up a couple months later...had to battle bd in court first so i could move Teryn. We're moving into our own place tomorrow and i seriously can't wait.
I've battled depression, PPD, and anxiety for over 4 years and still working to gain control of myself....Zoloft has helped but is reacting weird to me being pg. I'm also a pro-choice, feminist, tattooed, open-minded mama who is always here to back you up.

I'm 23 and I have a 3yr old son (unplanned) and don't want anymore children. I'm currently in a relationship, but not with the BD (whom I broke up with because of feelings for the guy I'm currently with).

I work full-time as an administrative assistant at an accounting firm and I was taking two night classes at the community college (semester just finished, yay!) and plan to take more next semester. I'm not sure what I want to major in and I think I would like to be in the nursing program, but right now I don't have time.

My son isn't in preschool yet, but he turns 4 in Oct., we're having issues with getting him to poop in the toilet. My mom stays home with him during the week and takes care of him. She plays a bigger role in his care than I do, sadly. My living situation is kind of funky. My boyfriend and I split the rent for the apartment that my mom and my son live at, but he and I stay at his place (neither of us has to pay rent, his Grandma owns the land) some nights because itis closer to both of our jobs and school and we stay at the apartment the other nights. BD takes our son on Sundays.

I'm interested in psychology, my favorite TV shows are CSI, Grey's Anatomy, and Emeril Live. I'm also kinda addicted to the PC game World of Warcraft, but I don't have much time to play it so I haven't gotten very far in the game.
