painful foreskin?

Kiddo is intact and there have been a few times where noticed his foreskin looked a little red, on most sites i'd read that this was pretty normal. The other day he mentioned that it was 'sore' - it was late in the evening and we were getting ready for bed and i decided to put off a trip to the doctors' until morning, and the next day he said that it felt ok. I've been keeping an eye on it (hahah), and everything -seems- normal. ... should i be worried about this?

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I wouldn't worry. Max's gets sore sometimes if he's been fiddling with it too much, or if we switch soaps.

Be sure to ask him if he's put anything in it, though -- one of my coworkers' sons figured it was a good place to stash his spare change from his brother when he was four or so.

He should be reaching about that age where he's exploring it a bit more ;) chances are he pulled a little too hard, or tried to retract it and it's not ready to retract, which would cause redness and/or soreness. Sit and talk to him about how it works, tell him it's okay to explore but that he could hurt himself if he tries to pull it back, etc.
