For that past few weeks, ive been having a problem with the left side, of what I would call my pelvic region. I get cramping...that feel like mentsral cramping, ranging to sharp pain. Sometimes it will travel up to my rib cage. Its not all the time, just periodically throughout the day. Its really tender when I touch a certain area on that side. It will range from being tender, to pretty painful, when that area is touched. It changes from time to time. ALSO last time I had sex, we had to stop, because whenever it was bumped internally, it hurt like hell. I had a mirena put in about 4 months ago....but didnt have these problems until now.
Does this sound like it could be anything dangerous? My doctors a 30 min drive out of town, and i really own go there if I am deathly ill as its hard to get a ride down there.
is your appendix on your left side? or it could be a problem with the mirena. my mum has one and it dislodged and scratched the side of her uterus and it became infected. i would go to the doctor, even though it's a long drive. better safe than sorry.
I was right away thinking appendix too, I'd get it checked out, you don't want it to rupture.
I was actually not thinking appendix (it classically presents with right lower quadrant pain) but PID, which is extremely common. Either way, get thee to your doc. Sorry.
That PID soudns like some scary stuff. I googled it....I better get to the doctor, i hope its not too late, because ive been ignoreing it for awhile.

Well I wenrt ot the doctor, and he felt around, and said my Uterus was enlarged. He asked if there was a chance I was pregnant. and i said no. I took a pregnancy test when i got home (it was negative) to be on the safe sides, besides, it would be a very new (no more than 4 weeks) pregnancy anyway, so the uterus wouldnt be all that enlarged.
Does anyone know what the hell im dealing with now??? Im freaking out!
Did the doctor say why your uterus is enlarged?
No he didnt. He suspected pregnancy....so i took a home pregnacy test, it was negative. I really doubt it is pregnancy....if it is, theres something defintaly wrong becuase of all the pain thats associated with it. Hes sent me for these tests....soo i guess I just have to sit and wait until ive gone to all the tests, and the results are sent in.
