I love you girls... You have helped me out so much in the past 2 years i've been here..
But now i need your help again......... Im in love.. With this guy.. Hes from California.. im From Wisconsin. My sister also lives there . He added me on MySpace and we started talking a while ago and he bought me a plane ticket out there and we just fell in love.. and we talk on the phone all the time and, we just cant wait to see eachother again.. He has such a good job and everything and i have kira .. and he wants me to move out there... But is that possible with baby daddy ? ? Can i leave the state ? Im 18 and hes 17.. im not sure what can be done but... i feel like there are so many more possibilities out there. and im missing out by being here.... PLEASE HELP I LOVE YOU ALL !!!

I live in Canada so I'm not sure if the same rules apply. If he gets a court order stating you can't move so-and-so many miles away, you have to stay within that perimeter. If he doesn't and he doesn't care then it shouldn't be a problem. You'd just have to figure out transportation for visitations if in fact he wants to see his kid (sorry, I don't know you or your situation). I know what you mean, though. I'd love to move far far away. Damn the man.
i don't have any info for your situation with your bd.
but if you really feel like moving is right for you then go for it!
i started out with a long distance relationship like you, and now we have a 1 month old together and just got married last week... so anything is possible for you.
good luck with everything! and if youre around my part of cali, maybe we'll see eachother around... i'd like to know there are other young mamas in my area!
Without knowing the details around the custody agreement, I don't know. However, I'm sure it would be in that agreement. If there wasn't a formal, legal agreement, then I don't think you have any legal obligation to stay, but if you're on decent terms with your baby's father, you might want to talk to him about your plans.
god damn. idk what to do like.. hes been in jail like 2 times this month do u think that scince hes been in trouble and whatever i could get full custody of her.. how would i go about doing that ?
You'll need to apply for some sort of legal aid or find a family member who can help you get a lawyer. If he agrees to give you custody, a few papers get signed and their all yours. If he refuses to cooperate, it would have to be taken to court.
I'm currently going for primary custody of mine. My ex agreed to it, so I'm just waiting for the papers to finalize it.
how much is it tho to get a lawyer.. like i dont have money for that.. where do i start where do i go ??
i applied fo rcustody of my daughter ( which i now have) and i did it by myself - not being represented by anyone. i just went to the courthouse asked the front desk for the papers. served BD, he accepted, and applied for access, i agreed we signed the consent papers and the judge signed them.
when i applied i wrote up a list of reasons why i wanted custody. drug abuse, quit his job. or in your case, he has been in jail etc.
and it was a pretty open and close thing.
you should go to teh courthouse and just ask, and get some info on the process, its different everywehre ( im in canada)
good luck
well.. i went to the court house.. the lady was pretty rude about helping me.. she just gave me a website and told me i had to go online get the papers print them out and fill em out.. so i have them now and i dont know where to start what to say ... it says somthing like X if i want change of placement or custody i think it would be custody right ? idk i mentioned something to BD and hes like you cant take her im not doing anything wrong and if u go to cali im taking her .. so idk hes gonna fight this one on me.. i need help idk what to do now.. theres nothing on the paper that ask why i want it.. so.. idk
Hi again girls... So i filled out the papers and i made a list of all the reasons why .. is there anything u can think of that i should so to help my case or stuff that u think the judge would want to here.. and should i say i want to move or what ?
The only info that will help your case is the truth. Tell them the honest reason why you think you can provide a better life for your child.
