Have you checked out any LJ communities centred around menstrual cups? I am sure they have tons of comparison discussions.
I have the Diva Cup and I love it. Granted, I haven't tried anything else but I don't see a reason to. No leaks, comfortable, and I've had it for 7 months. It takes one cycle to get used to putting it and out, but that's it.
No irritation, no pain, and just all around lovely. :)
Check out the website as well.
I have a divacup too; I've been using it for three years. I strongly recommend it. A lot of people develop latex allergies from using the Keeper (which is another common menstrual cup). The diva cup is made of silicone instead of rubber, so you don't have that problem.
i use and love my diva cup too. I have a heavy flow and i would soak thru tampons really quick and always have to wear a pad as back up, and now i can change my cup every 1-2 hours on heavy days and not have any leaks.
im another huge diva cup fan. it did take that one cycle to get used to but now i can't imagine going back to wasteful, chemical filled tampons or pads. what a mess that other shit is.
I REALLY want one too! I was actually just thinking about this. I have the heavy flow thing going on, probebly from my IUD. But I'm having a hard time convincing myself that I should spend the $50 on it. That is a big chunk for me to spend on myself.
My MSN personal message right now is actually "Should I put the Diva cup on my x-mas list?" lol. I'm so funny!
I have the Diva Cup, I haven't had a chance to use it yet because i haven't had a period, but I'm pretty excited too.
I bought it because regular pads and tampons bother me, so I have always used the 100% cotton ones from a health food store.... For like $15, and I'd need multiple boxes.... so I was spending damn near $60 a period.... so it will be a serious saver for me. My post-partum bleeding costed over $100's.... so I was like.... I'm splurging... and it will end up saving me money!
I got the Diva Cup because it was silicone as well....
I would get it for yourself if I were you Jube, everyone deserves a treat once in awhile!!!!!
I would wear a pad while you are learning how to do it. Even if you practice before time you won't really know if you have it perfect until you have a period...
That way you can learn to do it and not have to worry, if you are out and about.
I've started using Insteads as a gateway to the diva cup....getting it in is no problem, but so so so messy for getting it out! Maybe I'm going about it the wrong way...ha!
But I always made mess too. More of one when I wasn't paying attention..... But let's just say I never filled it with toilet tissue.... I was a dumper, because it was usually dumped by the time I got it out!!!
You can have sex with instead in though..... but not with the Diva Cup.

I have the divacup and extremely happy with it, but I haven't tried the others so I don't know if they are better or worse.
and i used both the diva cup and the keeper. i personally like the diva cup better. its folds easier and doesnt smell funny.

Thanks for all the responses. The Diva cup it is!
I LOVE my diva cup.
That's all I gotta say.
Oh, and also I don't know why I started using it way long ago.
I love my Diva cup too. But I also love the Instead Cup. :) I've been using them for several months.
okok I went and got it. Now I have a few questions:
Should I practice putting it in/taking it out before I get my period?
Is it smart to wear a pad my first time around until I get the hang of it, or unnesessary?

I used to use instead.... Loved it!!!
