My mom heard that this restraunt where I live is hiring....She offered it to my sister who already has a JOB!!!! I have no money....I just broke my old sneekers...And I still pay for diapers, gas, and baby food! (I use my financial aid money because my parents pay tuition and the pell grant check gets sent to me) Also my mom still pays for my sister's gas when she goes to school. She wastes her money on cigarettes and clothes... I'm just complaining a bit because I miss working and my sister doesn't really need the money. I'm the one with real expenses...Oh and my daughter lost her medicade benefits yesterday because she just turned one so I have to figure that out now too....
Damn, I feel you about wanting a job! I want one too, but I'm going to wait until after I give birth. Can't you apply for regular Medicaid now? I know thats what they told me, after my kid turns one to get regular medicaid. I think you're supposed to let you're case worker know so they can switch you over and it doesn't overlap and you won't go without coverage either.
I dont know....They put her on medicade for newborns right after she was born but I just got a letter saying that she was uneligable after October 31. I still have her regular medicade card but I think it doesn't work anymore...The letter said I needed to contact Healthy Kids and put her on insurance. :roll:
Yeah, I was told the kind of medicaid pregnant women get only last through the pregnancy and 6 weeks after birth. Then, the mothers medicaid number is transfered to the baby (shes no longer covered), and the baby has it for a year. Then the mother must re-apply for the child to have regular medicaid once that year is over. You can re-apply for yourself and the baby or for the baby only, I believe.
