my kid weighs about 30 lbs. We got his crib brand new. This morning when we got up I found he had jumped so much that one of those metal parts that holds the base of the crib to the crib had snapped. So, part of crib matrice was sticking out the bottom of the crib.
So, I'm going to order the part. But, It must be time for him to get a bed now? Becuase whats the point of me fixing the crib if he could just jump so hard that it breaks again?
I'm sad about this. I liked him in the crib. But this is the right thing to do, right?

it sounds like it is the right thing to do. It's nice and convenient to have them in the crib when you've got things you need two hands and two eyes for, but when they're too big, they're too big. And it's always kind of melancholy to watch them grow up right in front of your face. :(
it's better that you switch to the big kid bed than have them get hurt. They grow up so fast :(
