I went to the doc. today for an early check up since ive been having pain in my side and a little light bleeding. The doc. told me that i prob. had a tubular pregnancy and i got really scared. They sent me down stairs to take a pelvic ultrasound and found out it wasnt! But the pain and light bleeding was coming from this huge cysts i have on my ovary. My baby is ok im only 5 wks but the nurse said it was fine. I was wondering if anyone else had cysts on their ovaries and what you did to relieve the pain. Thanks!
I think have a cyst on one of my ovaries. But, it may be gone now because I don't have any pain. Maybe not though, as they may or may not cause you pain. The doctor told me it was the kind that may go away on its own. She said a lot of people have them and don't even it. I only found out because, like you, I had a pelvis ultrasound in the beginning this pregnancy. I was also 5 weeks when I had it. I was also in a lot of pain that prompted me to get checked out. Now, that pain has been gone for a while. Is there medication you can take to make it go away or relief the pain? I don't know because you're five weeks and they may not want to do anything until the pregnancy is over. They didn't do anything for me. They just told me to have it checked out again after the pregnancy. I wish I had some more advice.

i had an ultrasound in pregnacy and was told i also had a cyst maybe more than one. i havent done anything about it. the lady doing the ultrasound told me that cysts are more likely to appear or grow larger during pregnancy, but they arent always painful or harmful. good luck
a friend of mine who just had her baby last month had a cyst on an ovary and she was in SO much pain but the doctors wouldnt do anything about it so she eventually switched ob's and ended up making a trip to the emergency room where she told them she felt that she nor the baby would make it if something wasnt done so she ended up having it removed when she was 27 weeks pregnant... then later she was induced a month early because her blood pressure was skyrocketing i dont know if that had anything to do with it...but just in case.... ....but just so ya know..she had the surgery and everything turned out okay the baby is healthy and shes fine now..
