Ok, before i start posting, can i post pants sizes and shirt sizes? I'm not sure, i know i'm not supposed to post weight numbers, but are clothing sizes ok?
Before i got pregnant i was in a size 13 and an extra large in shirts, but usually couldn't fit into juniors tops because of my boobs. I had a pudgy tummy before, and i had LOADS of stretch marks beforehand, but they never really bothered me too bad. I'm just trying to figure out if i'll be anywhere close to my prepreg pants size. I haven't gained too much weight, cuz my doctor said that i didn't need to gain a whole lot because i was bigger to begin with. I guess that now that i'm growing i'm worried about the shrinking back process lol. I have always been chubby though, so some extra tummy fat isn't going to bother me too bad. I just have the hardest time losing weight, it takes me FOREVER. I can look at a piece of cake and gain 7 pounds lol.
Any advice on not gaing too much weight during pregnancy? I'm only supposed to gain like 20 lbs at the most or something like that, i'm not exactly sure she just told me at the very beginning and i have preggo brain :P
Yeah, its best to stay away from sugary and greasy foods as much as possible. Also try to eat a lot of fruits and vegetebles, and watch portion sizes(I'm not saying that you should cut portion sizes, just make sure you aren't getting way to much). Sometimes weird cravings can also be a sign that you have some kind of deficiency in your diet, such as an iron or other vitamin deficiency. Another way to manage weight is getting some kind of exercize in.
As for the size, about a month after I had my son I was the same size as I was prepregnancy, then I went down two sizes because I lost a bunch of weight, then I went back up two sizes and now I am a size lower than before I was ever pregnant. But I weigh just about the same as I did prepregnancy. It really depends, because my weight is distributed differently now than it was before I was pregnant. Also, the way I lost all my weight is by breastfeeding.

i was told that is false :?: but, it makes sense to meee.

my grandmother told me that since i was always craving dirt that my iron was too low...and she was right. so it's definitely something to look into if you're interested.
There are definitely some cravings (in pregnancy as in general) that mean you're lacking certain nutrients. Chances are, though, that there are also some cravings that are just the effect of wierd hormonal stuff happening in your body.
I tried on a pair of my prepreg pants today lol, it was funny. they fit everywhere except the major exception of my tummy :P I couldn't even get the button anywhere near close to buttoning, even the rubberband thing wouldn't work in this case. I have nice maternity pants though that fit great. My grandma ordered me like 4 pairs through motherhood maternity, i LOVE them. I also love my sweats too though lol.
My weight count is like 10 lbs and i'm 5 months, so i think that that's average? I'm not going to stress over it though, i mean if i gain more weight then my doctor thinks that i need to, i'm not going to die from it.

My Kookum told me chalk cravings resulted in lack of calcium! So I believ this!!! I craved chalk with my first, and this time, I crave salt.
And to the original poster, don't feel bad about craving the "bad" stuff every now and then, but just make sure you're at least eating fruits and veggies most of the time, especially if you are insecure with gaining too much weight. Just don't make it an everyday thing, you know what we are saying? :) Good luck!
Ok, well here goes...

Well, I was told that by a midwife. So I don't know if it is like, medically a fact but it is a theory.
