I woke up this morning and the triangle of my nose and upper lip was swollen. The doctor said it was a sinus infection, gave me benadryl, amoxicillan and a pain killer. I came home and took a nap only to wake up with it swollen even more. And it hurts a lot worse. And I'm nauseous. I just want to cry and snuggle in bed. Sigh. It hurts all the way down to my teeth.

ohh I'm sorry, that fucking sucks. But I'm sort of cracking up thinking of how it looks haha.
hope you feel better soon
I didn't know there are sinus infections that cause swelling of the face? I thought it was just the inside....
I guess you really do learn something new everyday... :?
Get better soon, I'm sorry that you have to suffer through that. Eugh.
that fucking sucks. im sorry. i hope you feel better soon.
aww.. feel better soon!!!! i can only imagine how that muct feel....
take care of yourself
I woke up this morning and it was even worse. We went to the emergency room. Nobody knows what it is that's wrong with me. The doctor ruled out infection and took me off the amoxicillan and put me on a second kind of antihistamine. I put myself on a pint of ben & jerry's. The coolness of the ice cream dulls the pain. I just hope it goes away. I'd hate for it to be any kind of permanent. I like my face the way it was.
poor mama.
Not fun! I think stuff has been going around ... I have sick the past week. Body aches & all ... feel better soon!
sorry get well soon
This morning it all culminated in a nasty....thing....under my top lip. I had to go get it drained, it was so gross! Still, no one knows what the heck it was, what caused it, anything. I'm told to keep taking all the meds until they're gone, especially the antibiotic, and if it fills up again come back. This is so stupid. Why doesn't anyone know what the problem is? I had a fricking cat scan and they still don't know!
At least my face isn't swollen anymore and it doesn't hurt. It feels stiff and uncomfortable right under my nose, but I don't have obvious movement issues when I talk anymore. Blech.
do you sleep on your stomach, like with your face pressed into your pillow/arm/blanket/etc?
once i fell asleep with my face buried in my pillow and my upper lip became swollen from the pressure that had been put on it, but i never had any thing build up under my top lip... could that have been like a water blister?
i'm sorry you're hurting, i know it must be seriously frustrating.
recenty had a staph infection on my chin. swole up like that. they're going around all over the south and southwest now.
did they do a culture of the stuff?
hope you feel better as you heal.
I don't know what they did with it. They discharged me right after they drained it. Really didn't surprise me, they tried to discharge me after the cat scan without telling me the results. The only reason I didn't press was because I had to get to work. We were in the hospital from 6am to 9.
and la petite monster, I sleep all over the bed in every position. I'm a restless sleeper. I don't know. My sisters kept talking about how I looked like Cindy Lou Who, and how cool it would be if I got an infection named after me.
