anyone had any cool celebrity sighthings? has anybody met anyone famous (or someone whos just really cool)? i have a few that ill post later when i have more time.
Not really...the closest I got to someone famous is I met the guy who played Peter on Days of Our Lives. This was many many years ago and I don't think the guy has been on anything since. He was at Walmart for a meet and greet type thing. I have a picture of me with this big goofy smile on my face standing next to him. I was so nervous though!
i actually work(well am on leave since i am on bed rest) at bergdorff goodman in the salon, so i have seen tons of famous people. umm beyonce(she really does look that good), martha stewart, paris hilton, nikki hilton and there mom, julia styles, lindsey lohan and her mom, jack nicholson thats all i can think of right now if there are any more i will post them later.
I met Al Franken once, and when Jesse Ventura was the governor of MN I met him... actually when he was running for governor. Thats really not cool at all especially following the previous post, lol Al Franken isn't really as cool as Lindsey Lohan but hey. Oh, I also met Joe Mauer and Kirby Puckett once each, not even really met them I just shook their hands and got their autographs. They both play/played for the MN twins, not at the same time though. So if you aren't from MN or don't follow baseball you probably don't know who they are. So basically, no one really cool.

oh i forgot that i met some MN Timberwolves bball players too!
well as i said in aother post...sean penn and robin wright live in my town, sean penn is kind of mysterious...he thinks if he wears a hat no one will no who he is. Robin wright (i love her...forest gump makes me cry everytime!!) gets coffee where i do, so i see her a lot.
Robin Williams also has a house here...ive only seen him a couple times, but the way he is on tv and in movies is really how he is!!! i saw him with his daughter once, you could tell she was embarassed by his behavior. i guess you are embarrassed of your parents no matter who they are!
sammy hagar and carlos santana live around here too and dont try to cover up who they are...my brother is actually friends with santanas daughter, so onetime i picked him up from santanas house. they are totally normal(ish).
I don't know if any of you guys will know who any of these people are. :P
I've hung out with a few people from heavy metal bands like Phil Anselmo (ex Pantera), Pepper Keenan (Corrosion of Conformity), the dudes from Slayer and Biohazard. I've also met Peaches (she was really shy!), Annie Lennox, Gavin Rossdale, and Tim Wheeler.
I once saw Liam Gallagher (singer for Oasis) in a motorway service station but I didn't talk to him.
I've waited on Steven Tyler, met ben affleck and matt damon, saw jennifer garner, jennifer lopez and marc anthony and met the band members of new found glory.
I've never ran into anyone famous, but I've talked to a couple different famous-in-Canada country singers.
In high school, the editor of a magazine I was interning at pulled some strings and I got to interview Lars Ulrich from Metallica after their concert. It was really cool!
My friend used to work at French Meadow in Minneapolis and served Josh Hartnett (he's from that area), I met some boys in the band for Boyz II Men when I was 12 (haha, I LOVED Boyz II Men back then), I was standing next to Beth Ditto of The Gossip when I was at their show when Mika Miko was playing, and that same show was standing next to the drummer outside when she went out for a smoke *swoon* ... I've hung out with Scream Club (and in their video! - Life of a Heartbreaker), in 6th grade I went to Hawaii and was staying at this hotel next to where Kevin Costner was filming "Water World" and my step-dad saw him golfing - my mom freaked (she loves him), I met *Nsync when they played at the Mall of America years ago ...
oh, my sister met Kaia Wilson from Team Dresch and The Butchies ... and got a picture with her *swooooon* and her friend that went with her, Shana, got Melissa York's drum stick and it hit in the boob so she was freaking out b/c of that, lol ....
i actually work(well am on leave since i am on bed rest) at bergdorff goodman in the salon, so i have seen tons of famous people. umm beyonce(she really does look that good), martha stewart, paris hilton, nikki hilton and there mom, julia styles, lindsey lohan and her mom, jack nicholson thats all i can think of right now if there are any more i will post them later.

that must be so cool working at a salon. How does beyonce look? lol tv can do alot to a person
yea it is but sometimes you dont even know that they are "that person" until someone points it out. beyonce is definitely very pretty in person she is like flawless she came in to get a pedicure and eyelash extensions. her nephew is so gorgeous as well. he is the cutest thing. but you cant make a big deal about it because when you get hired they tell you that you are not allowed to act all ridiculous or you risk losing your job.
i saw denzel washington once when i was in new york, and i went to the same high school as norah jones and erykah badu so i saw then alot and both of them are so nice and down to earth. since my school was an art school there were all sorts of people coming through. roy hargrove, sidney poitier, robert townsend...and um...ME! hahaha...i'm a celebrity in my own world!
oh yeah i meet a few ppl... kirk frankiln, mary mary, r&b singer mario, and i also meet tayshaun prince from the detriot pistons, tyson chandler who played with the chicago bulls, and thats all i can think of now

I read a book called the Bergdorff Blondes...it was good, if you like things like that. That's neat that you have seen so many famous people. Sounds like a fun job! :D
I met rob thomas of matchbox twenty. He was a jerk. The drummer though (don't remember his name) was really cool. I've also met Mark the lead singer of Chimaera, I went with my SO and hung out while he interviewed him at his house. He's got this tiny little toy fox terrier that was SOOOO adorable. Yeah, very metal. lol
Rosie O'Donnell (sp?) lives in the next town over (where SO lives) so i see here all over the place. She's pretty rude, actually. i also met Didi Conn (Frenchy from Grease) at a Rocky Horror Picture Show event in Nyack (Rosie's town) and only after 2 hours of hanging out with her did i realize why the hell she was so familiar...(ok, i'm in idiot, I get it) :P Vin Diesel (sp?!?!) is my lng-time friend's little brother's friend's dad, so I've gone to BBQs with him, so that's cool. he's an interesting person to talk to
That's it for me. I love ow celebs are really normal people (in my experience) for the most part and that they still have real personalitirs, you know?
When I visited NY I saw leelee sobieski (sp? I probably slaughtered her name..) from the glass house. That's all I know her from.. But I got all dorkishly excited..
Kevin Pollack! Woo-freakin-HOO. Yea apparently he's some guy who's been in House Arrest. My husband recognized him when we went out to dinner for Valentine's day. I wouldn't know the difference btwn him and a tree, so I wasn't really star struck.
my fave story is when i met John Stamos.. it was at the naked lady club i work at. i went up to him (totally topless almost completley naked) and said. "omg john stamos! i'm sorry, i know you get this all the time, but i loved you in full house!!!!"
he looked at me kind of confused and asked my how old i was and i nervously answered "holy shit! i'm younger than the olsen twins!"
yeah... to say the least it was pretty awkward after that... we tried to small talk. but i pretty much felt like a fool so i got up and left. he was more interested in the other girls anyways.
i have also met lance armstrong (he lives in my city) he is pretty stupid. i dont like him much.
i used to talk to efren ramirez (pedro sanchez from napoleon dynamite) semi regularly but we lost touch
When Grand Beach Center had that rock concert a few years ago, Grand Rock Music Festival at Grand Rock Center, I hung out with Greg Nori and the boys from Sum 41. It was sooo fun! They were all so damn SHORT!!! I was expecting them to be taller, but Derek Whibley is actually SHORTER than me, and I stand at 5"3!!!
Also, when they were shooting scenes for "Shall We Dance" in Winnipeg, I saw the main actor at Olive Garden lol.
And the most common one was Dave Moffat from that brother band The Moffatts when he was going to school at Red River for a bit. I seen him around the campus and at Polo Park a few times with a couple of chicks.

I've met Tori Amos-- and yes, she actually does glow in real life.
I've never ran into anyone famous, but I've talked to a couple different famous-in-Canada country singers.
