I'm thinking of getting the back of my neck (nape) pierced, but I'm worried. I've read there are many issues with cleaning/keeping hair away from the piercing/pain or discomfort sleeping. For anyone who has a nape piercing, or knows someone who does...was it that bad? Will I be able to wear my hair down again? It's curly and tends to get tangled in pretty much everything.
I was going to get a nape peircing. But after visiting two different, reputable shops that refused to do it, i changed my mind.
The biggest problem they said they had with nape peircing, is the migration. Because its in such an awkward place, ou rbodies naturally reject it, and it "grows out". Apparently it leaves a not so nice scar behind, when it does that.
I dont think the cleaning, would be any harder than any other peircing. I can imagine it would be painful....when I got an industrial peircing, it hurt REALLY badly, and i found that advil liquid gels took the pain RIGHT away.
